Chapter 22
Angela nodded without hesitation. “Shouldn’t I doubt you? After all, I’ve offended the person you care about. You have every reason to get back at
me out of anger.
our “Is that what you think of me?”
Kenneth was furious.
Angela remained silent, leaving Kenneth feeling angry and helpless.
He couldn’t believe Angela had never trusted him.
Just as the tension between them reached a peak, a servant approached. “Ms. Lewis, Mrs. Irene Lewis has asked you to come over and explain
yound
Angela responded indifferently, “What’s there to explain? What you saw is the truth”
The servant’s face tumed grim, his voice annoyed. “Mrs. Irene Lewis is so upset over this matter that she’s already raken several pills to calm down If you don’t go and explain, she will surely get even more upset.”
Before Angela could respond, someone firmly seized her wrist.
By the time she realized what was happening, Kenneth was already pulling her forward, taking a few steps.
Angela frowned at Kenneth, “Kenneth, what are you doing? Let go of me!”
Jennifer hurried over and stopped Kenneth, her eyes filled with worry. “Kenneth, what are you trying to dot Although Angela has done the wrong thing, it will only worsen things if she explains now. Maybe it’s best to let her leave.
Angela looked at Jennifer sternly. She didn’t believe for a second that today’s incident had nothing to do with Jennifer.
Her suggestion to leave now was probably just a ploy to slander her later.
“Jennifer, you don’t need to play innocent here. If I find out you had anything to do with today’s mess, I won’t let you off easily!”
Jennifer blinked and looked at Angela with a face full of grievance. “Angela, I’ve always thought for your own good. Why do you think so poorly of met 1 didn’t ask you go to the bar and flirt with gigolos. Even if you’re upset about this thing exposed, you can’t just take it out on me!”
Just then, Karen approached Jennifer, looking at Angela with disdain. “You shame yourself by fooling around with such men, and now you have the audacity to accuse Jennie! I never shouldn’t give birth to you, you bastard!”
Jennifer quickly stopped Karen, feigning generosity. “Mom, it’s okay if I’m a little wronged, but Angela’s reputation might be ruined”
“She deserves that. It’s her own deeds and has nothing to do with you!”
Watching Karen and Jennifer sing the same tune, Angela almost wanted to applaud them if only Kenneth wasn’t still holding her hand.
Kenneth didn’t even look at Jennifer. He just led Angela to the center of the stage.
Everyone looked at Kenneth in surprise, wondering what he was up to.
Angela glanced at Kenneth and said mockingly. “It seems you really are head over heels for Jennifer, Showing the surveillance footage on the big screen wasn’t enough, right? You just had to humiliate me in front of everyone again!”
Jennifer thought the same. Kenneth must have thought Angela would only embarrass him and wanted to distance himself from her publicly.
But next, what Kenneth said froze her on the spot.
“Just now, Mrs. Irene Lewis said she wanted an explanation. My wife can make an explanation, but I’m afraid it might be too much for the Lewis family to accept!”
The moment he said it, the crowd erupted in chaos.
“Did I hear that right? Isn’t Kenneth and Jennifer were together? How come he’s now saying Angella is his wife?”
“I thought Angela was the mistress, but it turns out Jennifer is the homewrecker! She knew Angela and Kenneth were married and still kept messing around with her sister’s husband. What a bitch!”
“And isn’t it shocking how Kenneth could remain so calm when he
he saw Angela feeding a gigolo fruit and then casually reveal their marriage?”
Jennifer’s face turned pale as she trembled uncontrollably. She couldn’t believe Kenneth had publicly admitted his marriage to Angela.
Dilat he dislike Angela? Why? Why would he do that?

Chapter 22
Seeing the sadness on Jennifer’s face, Karen felt sympathy and quickly held Jennifer.
“Jennie, don’t be upset. Kenneth must be trying to save the Lewis family from embarrassment. That’s why he said that in front of everyone!”
Upon hearing this, Jennifer was like grasping at straws, nodding subconsciously: “Yes, it must be… Kenneth couldn’t possibly like Angela. We are the perfect couple!”
Robert and Irene exchanged a glance, each seeing shock in the other’s eyes.
They had always believed that Kenneth and Angela were on bad terms. Now that Jennifer was back, they were certain Kenneth would divorce Angela, which was why they were so bold in scheming against Angela. If Kenneth had feelings for Angela, they would need to reconsider everything.
Robert reacted quickly and told Kenneth, “Mr. Sinclair, you’re taking it too seriously. We just thought there might be some misunderstanding here. We wanted Angela to come and clarify things to the guests, or they might spread rumors about her!”
Kenneth’s face was sullen as he spoke. “What misunderstanding? I was at the bar that day, and Angela was upset with me, so she deliberately chose a gigolo to provoke me. Do we need to explain every detail of our marriage to you?
anyone is concerned about our private life, you should install surveillance in our house and watch us every day! Is that what you want?”
He looked across the crowd. Those caught in his stare quickly lowered their heads, not daring to meet his eyes.
No one would dare to speak up now. If Kenneth was upset, he could bankrupt any of them in minutes. They’d be insane to cling to this matter.
Privately, those high–society ladies and gentlemen had far more scandalous affairs. It just hadn’t been exposed.
The banquet hall fell into an eerie silence. Everyone was afraid to even make a sound, fearing Kenneth’s notice.
After getting over the shock, Angela shook off Kenneth’s hand and quickly walked towards the exit of the hall.
