Eleanor smiled and explained, “I’ve smelled something similar on you before, so I took a chance and bought these.”

It was true. In her past life, they had written about their favorite scents on their social media.

“Thank you.” They all spoke in unison.

“But… we didn’t get you anything,” one of them added hesitantly..

“Oh, no problem. You three can treat me to this meal.” Eleanor casually picked up a knife and fork, cutting into a piece of rib and shoving it into her mouth.

“Why?” The more naïve roommate looked puzzled.

“I trusted the wrong person for a long time. And yet, you’re still willing to invite me to cat with you. Really, thank you.”

She also wanted to thank them for helping her in her past life.
