Marvin seized her hair without applying so much strength on his hand, so Elizabeth could totally avoid his slap.
However, she did not.
Elizabeth gazed at him calmly, her dark eyes tinged with complicated emotions.
Badly distracted, Marvin took his hand back with a frown, his palm brushing her cheek subconsciously. His heart convulsed as his finger touched her warm skin.
To cover up his true feeling, Marvin twitched his lips, his tone hostile. "Do you lack money again? How dare you lure me to slap you? Never imagine fooling me like this!"
Elizabeth looked away, her voice very cold. "I will not ask you for money since you will soon be married. It’s a must to stay away from married men. Not to mention your fiancee is my best friend."
Marvin narrowed his eyes slightly, his aura turning fierce.
Elizabeth grew up before him, so he knew her temple quite well. There must be something wrong with her mind, otherwise, she didn’t have the guts to treat him like this. Not only her attitude but his failure to see through her mind bothered Marvin the most.
How come she changed so much abruptly?
Instead of asking her questions, Marvin suddenly wrenched her chin with an evil smile while unzipping his trousers. "Bottom line? A slut who owes me a huge debt is unqualified to make a bargain. Since you feel reluctant to sleep with married men, you’d better get used to it as soon as possible."
Elizabeth subconsciously bent her knees to hit him hard, rolled to the bedside to open the concealed compartment in the bedside table to her left, and took out the gun to press it against Marvin’s temple. Her nimbleness was far beyond his expectation.
Marvin’s lustful smile froze, his face livid.
"Marvin, we’re brother and sister after all. Don’t hurt my dignity and your self-respect." There came Elizabeth’s icy voice.
Marvin had numerous mortal enemies as the boss of the underworld, thus always carrying a gun with him. In consideration of the top-level security system in the villa, Marvin wouldn’t bring a gun with him during sleep, but there must be one available at hand.
He had slept in Elizabeth’s bedroom for more than a year. There was a gun in the concealed compartment in the bedside table, but he had never touched it before, let alone expected her to know it already. Since she could open the concealed compartment easily, it turned out Elizabeth had studied it carefully.
Standing still, Marvin seemingly had to compromise for the moment.
