"Since you didn't plan to, why did you decide to get married? You know that we won't be able to meet often after you're married, right?"
"If she didn't force me, I wouldn't marry her."
Vaughn blurted out these words without holding back. And then rolled over and pinned Laney down.
"Dear, your fiancee is here."
Laney placed her hands on Vaughn's chest to stop him from coming closer. She then pointed at the door.
"That's impossible. I've just sent her off. Why..." Even though Vaughn said so, he couldn't help but look at the door. "Hollie, why are you here?"
Vaughn froze immediately when he saw me, and his expression stiffened.
Vaughn quickly got off Laney and looked at me with a hint of panic in his eyes.
At this moment, he was no longer aroused. In a panic, he didn't manage to cover his naked body.
Laney wrapped herself in the blanket and looked at me in a leisurely manner. There was a mocking smile on her face.
Right now, my face was covered in tears. I was furious and spiteful. I wanted to let my emotions out. The truth was so cruel. I had no choice but to turn and leave.
Vaughn quickly wrapped a towel around his waist and caught up with me. There was guilt in his eyes. "Hollie, let me explain..."
"Is there anything else to explain? I saw everything clearly just now. How do you plan to defend yourself?"
My heart ached so much that I couldn't breathe. In fact, Vaughn's eagerness to explain himself gave me a glimmer of hope.
Laney put on Vaughn's shirt. Her wavy, long hair was messily spread on her shoulders, and this made her look even more seductive.
She walked over to me with a hint of provocation in her eyes. "Harper is Vaughn's child."
