Brandon raised his sharp eyebrows slightly as if he was dissatisfied with the fact that I was wrapped up. He spoke in an indifferent voice.
"Um, it's getting late. I should go to work, or I'll be late."
I said this excuse in a panic, and I didn't dare to look into his eyes. His eyes seemed to be able to see through everything. Every time I looked into his eyes, I couldn't help but panic.
"You're working at Grizzlimited?"
I was expecting him to say something suggestive again, but to my surprise, he changed the subject suddenly.
I was stunned for a moment. After I came back to my senses, I answered his question obediently, "Yes."
Seeing his slightly furrowed brows, I panicked a little and quickly explained, "I don't have any other ulterior motives. I just want to have a good job. Don't worry, I won't pester you."
For men in the upper class like them, the most annoying thing was that women tried every means to get close to them. I was worried that he would think that that was what I was doing too, so I explained in a hurry.
I really needed this job now, so I couldn't lose this job because of our relationship. Even though my father's operation was successful, he still couldn't work like he used to anymore. So I needed to support my family.
"Why are you in such a hurry? Did I anything about that?"
Seeing how anxious I was, Brandon raised his brows and looked at me in amusement.
"You're not going to ask me to leave Grizzlimited, are you? I really need this job."
Seeing that Brandon wasn't angry, I felt a bit relieved, but I still watched him nervously ask this question again.
"Do you think I'm so narrow-minded? You're my woman now, it's very normal for you to work in my company. But don't forget what you promised me before. Do not tell anyone about our relationship."
Brandon's words made calmed me down, but his reminder made me feel a little sad inside.
In fact, I didn't intend to let anyone know that I knew him, but it made me feel a little uncomfortable.
"I know. I won't tell anyone about our relationship. Don't worry."
I lowered my eyes and said this faintly.
I suddenly looked disappointed. Brandon frowned slightly and seemed to be a little annoyed.
"Can you bring me my clothes? I need to go to work now."
The atmosphere was quiet and awkward. I turned to look at Brandon and spoke again.
I shifted my body slightly. Although I took a rest all night, I felt uncomfortable.
I frowned slightly, and the madness from last night came back to me. I couldn't help blushing again.
"Not feeling well?"
Brandon frowned slightly as if he had seen through my strange behaviour. His tone seemed to imply concern.
"Yeah, it was a long night, I'm a little uncomfortable down there."
I blushed and said this in a low voice.
In fact, I didn't want to discuss this kind of ambiguous topic with Brandon, but I didn't know why I said it.
