Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover novel Chapter 602

Just then, the entire banquet hall burst into light. On stage, the bride and her bridesmaid were sprawled on the ground, drenched in blood. Their once pristine white dresses were now soaked in a shocking red, the blood slowly seeping into the carpet like an English rose unfurling in full bloom.

Chloe was frozen, absolutely floored. She'd heard the gunshot just moments before and felt someone shove her aside. It was Linda. Both of them had hit the ground together. Chloe didn't know what was happening, but her heart was racing, a terrible feeling gnawing at her gut.

When the lights came on, she saw it—blood gushing from Linda's chest, staining the wedding dress a horrifying crimson. Chloe's heart skipped a beat; she knew what had happened. Linda had been shot.

Instinctively, Chloe tried to lift Linda, her voice cracking as she shouted, "Linda, Linda!" Desperately, she screamed for help, "Call an ambulance, someone, please!"

Grief-stricken, Chloe tried to carry Linda outside. But even with all her usual strength, she couldn't lift her. Not even a little. She was trembling from head to toe. In the end, she just collapsed to the floor, cradling Linda in her arms.

Blood trickled from the corner of Linda's mouth. "Chloe, Chloe..." she kept whispering. Chloe's tears flowed freely, unstoppable. "I'm here, hang in there, I'm getting you to the hospital, Linda, hang in there."

Linda finally caught Chloe's hand, "Chloe, I don't want to die... there's still so much I need to tell you..." Her other hand rested on her belly, tears streaming down her face, "Save our baby, please save him..."
