"The Gilbert family? What are they doing here?" Chloe wondered aloud, eyebrows knitting together. "Is Diana in trouble?"

Lately, Chloe hadn't been going out of her way to keep up with the Gilbert family's drama. But Diana's disappearance had been plastered all over the headlines. It was hard to miss.

Connor hadn't expected Desmond and Suzanne to show up at his doorstep, though. As he headed downstairs, he noticed the security guards were still trying to shoo them away.

The security manager approached him quickly. "Mr. Connor, they came with their own bodyguards. We couldn't stop them. Should we call the police?"

Connor shook his head, calmly replying, "No need. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert must have something important to discuss if they're here at this hour."

Suzanne was already on her knees in front of Connor. "Mr. Connor, I'm begging you, please save Diana."

Connor's gaze was icy as he responded, "You must already know about Diana trying to drug and frame Eve and me."

Suzanne tensed up. "Diana was just confused; she loves you desperately. Please, forgive her this once. As her mother, I promise it won't happen again."
