FOUR YEARS LATER
The weather was dull. It was freezing outside. The yellowish orang regrow new leaves.
leaves were falling from the trees, allowing the trees to
A young woman sneezed as the air rushed past her. She rubbed her hose, which had turned red. She quickly covered her nose with her thick white scarf.
Beside her, a young man uttered a mocking utterance.
“Even after four years of being here, you still can not adapt to the weather in our pack.”
She turned to glance at him. Her soft gaze caused the young man’s mocking on his face to fade.
“Brother, stop teasing me,” she said in a low tone.
He smiled at her and lifted her hand to rub her head.
“Ava, it is my duty to look after you. You know that.”
She nodded her head, but then a smile crossed her lips, which he could not notice. As the man stroked her hair, she raised her hand and grabbed his wrist.
He paused his movement and looked at her. His blue eyes glowed, and he let out a painful hiss. He quickly yanked his hand away from her grip and took a step back. He looked down at his wrists. Though he could not see any signs of pain, he could feel it inside his bone. However, it only lasted a few seconds.
Ava burst out laughing when she saw his reaction.
“This is what you will get for teasing me, Brother Griffin. And protection? You need protection from me.”
After saying that, she ran forward to get away from him. She laughed when he started to chase her.
Griffin Adler was her cousin and the only son of her father’s older brother.
Ava learned about him after coming to this pack, the Thunder Howl Pack.
It really had been four years since she started staying in this pack, the Thunder Howl Pack.
Everything had changed when she realized what her mother had been hiding from hers.
She found out the truth about the war, her family, and her true identity, which her mother had hidden from her.
The truth was, she belonged to this pack.
Her father was not an ordinary pack fighter of this pack, but the royal wizard who also had a wolf inside.
When she was born, she got the same rank as her father. She was not an ordinary wolf but a hybrid. She was an Omega but a powerful witch as well.
“You witch! Come here. You hurt your brother. I will teach you a lesson.”
She heard Griffin’s angry voice from behind. She laughed more and turned to look at him.
Something, like an invisible bar, seemed to imprison her.
Her eyes turned from black to emerald green. Her smile did not fade a little.
She raised her hand and moved it forward.
Fire caught on air in a split second, as if burning the invisible bars.

Griffin’s eyes widened. “Whey did you learn it?”
Ava winked at him and mumbled,
“Last night.”
Griffin rested his hands on his waist and shook his head.
“Day by day, you are getting more skilled and powerful.”
Ava nodded her head. “After all, I am your sister, my royal wizard brother.‘
He had become this pack’s royal wizard two years ago. Despite bely, a werewolf, he preferred to showcase his wizarding abilities. Because this pack was full of them.
Many years ago, this pack did not have many witches and wizards, but when Alpha Kellen won the pack, he opened the border to shelter them. It became a home for both of the creatures after that
However, hybrids are rare creatures.
In this pack, only Ava’s grandfather came from a hybrid bloodline. Both Ava’s father and Griffin’s father inherited the bloodline from their father.
So at this time, Ava and Griffin were the only hybrids in this pack.
As Ava was teasing Griffin with her strikes, her phone started to ring.
She paused for a moment to take out her phone from her bag. Griffin rushed toward her, but she raised her hand to stop him for a second.
She received the call and said,
“Mom.”
Griffin realized it was Ava’s mother’s call. So he nodded his head and turned around to leave her alone.
“Ava, what are you doing?” Angela’s voice came out as sweet as honey.
“Mom, I am going to my workplace. What about you?” Ava said, walking down the street.
“Stephen and Harper were bickering about something. I was just trying to stop them,” she said and chuckled.
Ava smiled when she heard her mother’s calm and soothing tone. She was glad her mother was happy in her life.
Ava let out a sneeze and cleared her throat. She said,
“It’s good. Who won the bickering?”

Her mother did not answer her; instead, she asked,
“Ava, the City Moon Pack must be in the midst of summer. Why are you sneezing? Did you catch a cold?”
