Don't Try to Escape, My Wife! novel Chapter 1018

"Is Melissa here yet?"

"Not yet."

Ernesto hurriedly answered the call from Samuel.

"What's going on?"

Samuel felt that it was not as simple as all that.

Ernesto whispered, "The plane ran into strong turbulence and couldn't get here. So it was forced to land in H city."

Samuel frowned in deep thought.

He knew that the weather was, for sure, uncontrollable. What he was afraid of was that Major would take the opportunity to make trouble.

"How's the situation on Major's end?"

"He did nothing. Major must have known that Lillian had been taken by Zayn, and he now might be in Country F working out how to save her. After all, Lillian, his aunt, is much more important than his girlfriend. What's more, Major knows well what will happen if Lillian is caught by Zane. So I don't think there's much chance that Major will hijack the plane."

Ernesto said what he thought.

However, Samuel whispered, "But that doesn't mean he won't do it. He's in H city, isn't he? Ask Fill to send someone over to check it out."

"Who is Fill?"

Ernesto was confused.

Samuel then realized that the person standing in front of him was Ernesto, not Jacob.

Ernesto was a quick learner. But he had just started working as his assistant, so he didn't know much about many things. While Jacob had fought with him on the battlefield, so he was, naturally, more aware of some personal relationships.

Now, Samuel suddenly didn't know how to explain to Ernesto who Fill was.

"Forget about it. I'll call him myself. You go ask our people to keep a close eye on Major. And I'll handle the issue here."

"Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Samuel put on a serious look.

Jacob!

Samuel thought to himself, "When will you regain consciousness? Jacob!"

Samuel sighed, picked up the phone and dialed the number he hadn't dialed in a long time.

"Boss, do you know what time it is? It's 3:30 in the morning! What's the matter with you today? Call me at this hour?"

Fill yawned and complained. Samuel put on a more serious look when he heard this.

"Don't you know I'm in jail?"

"Those people are unable to control you. You can easily escape from the international prison, not to mention that small police station. Boss, you're trying to fool me. Besides, you've escaped from prison now, haven't you?"

Fill said mischievously.

Sam felt that he had indulged him too much.

"Can't you offer to help me without me asking you?"

"Boss, who are you? You are God. You don't need me."

Fill continued make fun of Samuel.

"Cut the crap. I have a task for you."

"Yes, sir."

Fill immediately showed some restraint.

"Ask your men to bring Melissa back from H city to the Seapolis City. I'll send you the photo of her later. Do not make it look like a handover, but a hijacking."

"Oh my Goodness! Boss, what are you going to do?"

Hearing this, Fill felt very excited.

"Can I use a weapon?"

"Don't you understand what I mean by hijacking a plane? I mean you should act like a mercenary or a terrorist."

Samuel thought that Fill had got too much time on his hands recently. He even had spare time to show off his joking talent in front of him.

Fill did not know what Samuel was planning. He smiled and said, "Sounds good. But if I get into trouble later, boss, you must help me."

"Do not hurt anyone unrelated. As for helping you, well, I will see what the situation is."

As soon as Samuel finished, he hung up because he couldn't stand Fill anymore.

He sent him a photo of Melissa and a message.

"Take care of the business at hand and then come to the Seapolis City. I have a task for you."

"Okay."

Fill replied carelessly.

Within two hours, word came from Ernest that Melissa had been taken hostage. It seemed that the robbers weren't sent by Major. These skillful robbers were equipped with advanced weapons and they even injured more than half of Major's men.

Samuel said indifferently, "Issue a wanted warrant."

"Yes, sir!"

When that was done, Samuel picked up the medicine chest and went into the bedroom.

Nicole was still asleep, and the worried look on her face disappeared. Her red face was so beautiful and appealing.

Samuel involuntarily swallowed. He really wanted to have sex with her again, but when he thought about Nicole's physical condition, he restrained that desire. Then he lost in deep thought.

Blair was silent for a while before he said, "Come to my operating room tomorrow morning at seven o'clock. It is a minimally invasive surgery and it won't take you long. You can go as soon as the operation is done. I don't think you want your wife to know about this, do you? Then you'd better listen to me this time. Don't have sex with your wife for at least half a month. You'd better take what I say seriously. If you get infected later, do not come to me. It is so humiliating."

Then Blair hung up the phone

Samuel gave a wry smile.

If he had known that he couldn't have sex with Nicole for two weeks, he should have had Blair do the operation for him while he was at the police station. Now it was harder for him to control his desires. He was watching every day and couldn't eat. He had to think of a reason to keep Nicole from discovering the truth.

It was too hard for him.

Samuel had made up his mind, and he believed there was no difficulty that could not be overcome.

He was about to leave the bathroom when Blair called again.

"What's wrong? Is there anything else you want me to know?"

"Think about Emory's question carefully. Back then, you left the army to protect the blueprints, but now you still have your military status and rank. Now the matter is over and there are many talented people in the military region. Our boss said you should come back as soon as you finish the work at hand."

Hearing that, Samuel was caught in a dilemma.

To be honest, he preferred to stay in the army.

The army was a place free of plots. In the army, as long as you were self-motivated, you could make your own way.

He had long wanted to return to that clean and pure world.

The thought of Nicole being left to raise the children and live a widow's life when he left was a little painful to him.

Samuel peered through the glass door at Nicole, who was fast asleep in bed, and whispered, "I'm not going back."

"Samuel, look, you should think about it carefully. You can be a major if you go back to the army now. Two more years of hard work and you'll be a lieutenant colonel. You then would be able to help Lucas in the army, wouldn't you? It would be a pity if you chose to be released from military service now."

With that, Samuel gave a wee smile.

"At that time, Gabrielle was in the hospital, hovering between life and death, you said you'd never be a doctor again, didn't you?"

Samuel remark brought Blair up short with a jerk.

He suddenly understood something.

"Every hero fails to pull through beauty pass."

"So, Mr. Blair, do you regret your career change?"

"Nope."

Blair said crisply.

Samuel felt much relieved.

"Emory is the perfect person to defend our countries. Brief is the spirit of a hero, but love between man and woman is long. So now I just want to spend the rest of my life with my wife and children."
