Don't Try to Escape, My Wife! novel Chapter 1107

Emory was serious when he asked them to take care of his wife and children.

They all felt depressed.

However, Emory laughed.

"Relax. The worst scenario is that I stop serving the army. By then, I will go to do business, just like you guys."

Emory was joking about that. But everyone knew that if something happened to Emory, things would be much worse.

Samuel coughed and said, "Why don't I...."

"I've handled your retirement procedures. You can go sign it tomorrow. Since you've decided to be around your wife and children, don't regret it. Samuel, you need to spend your entire life to make up for them. They are the ones you need to protect in the future. You know that?"

Samuel was sad at Emory's words.

"OK. Stop being emotional. Just shuffle the cards. I have to win to buy a dress for Claire. She has got a target one and hasn't bought it yet."

Now that Emory wanted to make things easier, the others stopped talking about it.

During the two hours, Emory kept winning.

He found it boring and just stopped.

"Hey, stop cheating. Why don't you just give me money if you make the game easier for me?"

"That won't do. If we give you money, we are committing bribery."

Samuel answered.

"Yes. You're in a difficult position and cannot take another charge of taking briberies."

Blair echoed.

Steven didn't say anything, but he looked worried.

Emory looked at them and sighed, "Trust me. It will be fine."

"OK."

Then they returned to their rooms.

Nicole woke up and didn't find Samuel. She guessed that Samuel was staying with Emory and others, so she did not go to look for him and watch the TV series on the computer.

When Samuel came back, he was stunned for a moment when finding Nicole leaning against the bedside. Samuel felt peaceful and calmed down.

"Why stay up?"

"I can't fall asleep."

Nicole pouted and said, "I want to have snacks."

Samuel read through Nicole's words.

"I'll go buy it."

"You are the best!"

Nicole beamed with satisfaction.

What else could Samuel say to his attractive wife?

He shook his head and walked out. When he returned, he brought back fruits and chicken.

Nicole enjoyed the chicken and didn't care about manners. Samuel liked her this way.

He washed the fruits, cut them into small pieces, put a toothpick on the plate, and sat down beside Nicole. He held the plate in his hand and watched Nicole as she stuffed them into mouth one by one.

She enjoyed the fruits like a hamster.

Samuel burst into laughter.

Nicole glared at him and continued watching TV.

Nicole just looked like another Zoe.

When Nicole finished eating, Samuel took out a napkin, wiped her mouth, and then offered her a glass of water.

Nicole was full, then stretched herself lazily and said, "Gosh! I've had too much food! Why don't you stop me? I will gain weight."

"It's fine. That would be the best. I like you being plump."

Nicole was shy at Samuel's words.

"Stop it."

Nicole muttered and then burped.

She felt embarrassed.

She peeked at Samuel. It seemed that he did not notice it. That was such a relief.

Samuel snickered when he saw her childish behavior.

"Do you want to have some exercise?"

Samuel lost Nicole here.

"Like having a walk?"

"Something better."

"What is it?"

Before Nicole figured out what was going on, she was pounced on by Samuel.

His warm breath lingered around Nicole's ears. Samuel whispered, "I remember you were asked about my size. I'll give you the answer now. Tell them when you meet them next time."

Nicole's face turned red.

She was speechless. Why should she make up for Ashley's mistake?

Unfortunately, Samuel did not give her time to think about that.

When Nicole woke up, it was already morning. They missed the horse race.

She glared at Samuel beside her.

And Samuel beamed with happiness.

"It's fine. We can watch the horse race tonight."

"Get off!"

Nicole was about to cry.

Her waist and legs hurt so much!

She cried!

Samuel would never have her trust.

Samuel knew that he had gone wild last night, but he just could not control himself.

"Alright, I'm sorry. Will I get punished?"

"Yes! You have to kneel on the durian."

Nicole rolled her eyes at Samuel.

Samuel was depressed.

Nicole glanced at Samuel and asked Gabrielle, "Do you know anything about what had happened to Emory?"

"No. But it seems troublesome. Blair pulled some strings but failed. We didn't sleep well last night. It gets tricky."

Hearing Gabrielle's words, Nicole was relieved.

"You're pregnant now. Take good care of yourself, okay?"

"I see."

Gabrielle cracked a smile.

Nicole came to Samuel and hugged him from behind.

The warm body temperature and attractive curves surprised Samuel, but the familiar smell calmed him down.

"What's the matter?"

"Are you worried about Emory?"

Samuel paused and nodded.

"Nicole, I want to discuss something with you."

"You don't want to retire right now, do you?"

Nicole said.

Samuel was sad.

"I'm sorry. If I retire now, I won't get the internal messages. Moreover, things with Emory were really tricky."

"I see. I respect your choice. Do whatever you want. No matter what decision you make, you will have my support."

At sight of Nicole's bright smile, Samuel felt even guiltier.

"I promise this will be the last time I postpone my retirement. When I finish deal with this matter, I will retire and never leave you again."

Nicole nodded.

She knew that sometimes things didn't go the way as they wished. She loved Samuel and supported him no matter how.

They talked for a while, and then Steven and others came back.

"Why don't you guys have fun?"

Nicole smiled and said, "I was too tired last night."

Ashley paused for a moment and then smirked.

Nicole knew what Ashley was thinking when she saw Ashley's eyes, but did not explain.

The children all had a good time.

Joseph had been staying with Zoe. Yasmeen looked as happy as a pony, galloping across the field. But she looked at Lucas from time to time.

Nicole whispered, "Do you think that Yasmeen falls in love with Joseph?"

Samuel glanced at Joseph.

Joseph kept looking down and didn't care about anything around him.

Samuel shook his head and said, "I don't know. They can manage their own things. Just leave them alone."

"That's not what I mean. Since we know each other well, it would be better if they get married."

Nicole said in a low voice and showed more affection for Yasmeen.

Right at this moment, Nicole's phone suddenly rang. For unknown reasons, Nicole felt nervous.
