When hearing Lucas’s question, Martin laughed, “There is a signal jammer device installed in the car, so you can’t send any message out. There are even signal jammer devices around the house. In fact, even if there weren’t those trackers, you can’t send anything back. I just want to see how clever Mr. Lucas is. If my grandson in the future can be as smart as you, it will make me a lot happier.”
Hearing Martin mentions Tim, Nicole got a little nervous.
“Grandson? Do you remember that he is your grandson? If you really remember, how could you do that to him?”
Seeing Nicole got angry, Martin appeared calm and just smiled, “Mrs. Green, don’t be angry. The reason why I let you come here is that I feel so lonely. I want to have a chat with you. Anyway, we are relatives, aren’t we?”
“No!”
Nicole said resolutely.
Martin didn’t make any reaction. Maybe he didn’t want to haggle over with the juniors. But Nicole couldn’t tell how Martin felt.
The servant had already served tea for Nicole and Lucas. They knew it was the good tea from the smell.
“He doesn’t like tea.”
Nicole directly pushed Lucas’s tea away. Martin didn’t say anything.
It seemed that he was really an old man without any threat judging from his look. But Nicole didn’t dare to relax her vigilance.
“I’m afraid you didn’t call us here just to chat with you.”
Martin didn’t care about Nicole’s attitude. He told the servant beside him, “How can you make Mrs. Green so angry? Why couldn’t you do such a petty thing?”
As soon as he finished speaking, the servant immediately knelt down, trembling all over, but did not dare to beg for mercy.
Martin still smiled kindly, but then two people came in to cover the servant’s mouth and stabbed her with a sharp knife. Nicole quickly covered Lucas’s eyes.
Nicole knew exactly what Lucas had experienced, but for her, he was still a little boy.
Nicole saw the servant was killed helplessly. The blood was so dazzling.
She said seriously, “What is this? Threatening?”
But Martin smiled and said, “We just deal with a disobedient servant. Mrs. Green, you are overreacting.”
“Overreacting? In your eyes, these people’s lives are worthless, right?”
Nicole couldn’t tolerate him for trampling people like mud and ashes.
But Martin didn’t care about it at all, “I saved their lives. Without me, they would have died long ago. I let them live for so many years. Moreover, why have I been an unforgivable bad person for you?”
“So, are you a good man?”
Nicole was contemptuous of his words.
“Of course I am.”
Martin smiled and picked up the teacup.

The book is slow....too many words are wasted to explain...need a better translator.......
God I want to read the book but it's freaking annoying, Samuel Green, Nicole Bush, Lucas Bush, Jacob Brown in every line.....I hope this author grows...the book would have been okay but it's affecting my mood...
Does the author have write the full names of the characters all the time...it's annoying...we are reading the book, we know their surnames already.......
What is it with Chinese authors. The characters are slow, he finally opened his mouth, it took him so long just to say two words...the house keeper would have put the person out before he even spoke....is this really how people are over there..the characters are always lost in thought, they might as well live in their heads.....
