“Probably.”
Nicole worried about what she had witnessed.
“Then we must find Davon now.”
Samuel’s words delighted her but also worried her.
“Is it too early now? What if they notice us?”
“We are abroad, and I believe Leo must have clarified Davon’s identity after a long time. If he fails, he won’t be qualified to be the king.”
Samuel said confidently.
Nicole kept silent, as she knew it was better to pretend to hear nothing.
“Should we inform Phoenix? They haven’t seen each other for long. She must be excited if she knows my brother is still alive.”
Nicole looked at Samuel, and he smiled, “You have the final say.”
“It is so kind of you.”
Nicole sincerely praised Samuel.
Samuel said proudly, “So I am. Don’t forget your promise. Stay with me tonight, get it?”
He drawled the last word. Nicole didn’t know if she had an illusion, and she flushed when she heard the drawled tone filled with tease and ambiguity.
“Come on.”
She really couldn’t flirt with Samuel in front of Martin’s body, and she had lots of things to solve.
Steven turned up when Samuel took Nicole out.
He himself took someone here and frowned as he saw Samuel. He said, “Buddy, don’t you know how busy I am?”
“Nope.”
Steven felt unhappy seeing the way Samuel swaggered over.
“Miss Nicole, Ashley has come back and she need to rest for a period. You haven’t seen each other for so long. How about entering the palace and chatting with her?”
Steven’s intention was crystal-clear.
Why did he strive to serve Samuel but got not even a word of compliment? Samuel must have been so “satisfied”.
Since he helped to solve the mess of trouble, he was tied with the burden so that he couldn’t spare any time to sleep with his wife, no to mention accompanying her. Still, Steven came to anger him. How could he stand it?
Nicole, in fact, missed Ashley, but she knew Laurence and Cara’s matter was more important, so she declined Steven.
“I appreciate your kindness. I’d love to spend time with her this time, but I can’t. We got to leave to deal with something important.”
“Why are you so hasty that you don’t care to handle the body?”
To Steven, Martin had already been killed by Tim, so he regarded it as trivial and it was time for relaxation.
Samuel couldn’t know Steven better, but laughed when hearing Nicole’s reply and he rejoined, “Laurence is here and frenzied, so we only have to take him to find a cure, or things will get worse.”
“Damn it!”
Steven was taken aback.
“Why is he here?”

The book is slow....too many words are wasted to explain...need a better translator.......
God I want to read the book but it's freaking annoying, Samuel Green, Nicole Bush, Lucas Bush, Jacob Brown in every line.....I hope this author grows...the book would have been okay but it's affecting my mood...
Does the author have write the full names of the characters all the time...it's annoying...we are reading the book, we know their surnames already.......
What is it with Chinese authors. The characters are slow, he finally opened his mouth, it took him so long just to say two words...the house keeper would have put the person out before he even spoke....is this really how people are over there..the characters are always lost in thought, they might as well live in their heads.....
