Ernesto was stunned.
How could this be?
“Ma’am, is there a mistake?”
“The injuries on my body were caused by her and I saw it with my own eyes. Are you saying that I’m mistaken?”
Her voice was mixed with some coldness.
Now she was anxious as her son was missing. She knew there was no way she could blame him, but only he knew something about Alison.
Ernesto didn’t think it was a mistake anymore at this point. His mood was somewhat heavy.
“I know Alison has a house here, but I don’t know if anyone is living there right now.”
“Give me the address.”
This was a clue for her.
Ernesto insisted on going along with Nicole, perhaps because he didn’t believe that Alison would do such a thing, or perhaps because he was afraid that Nicole would get hurt.
Nicole didn’t think much and drove to Alison’s house with him.
He owned the key to her house. This made Nicole feel surprised.
When they walked in, she looked at the teacups in the living room and the water in them was still hot. This meant that someone had been here just now, and they just left when the two of them opened the door.
Apparently, Ernesto had noticed it too.
“Alison, are you there?”
He quickly searched through the house while Nicole stood in the middle of the living room, looked around, and felt someone looking at her. She said, “Alison, I don’t care who you work for or who you are, I just want to know the whereabouts of my son.”
The house was silent as if no one was present, but Nicole knew that she was there.
“Alison, I’ll not ask or say anything. I just want to know the whereabouts of my son. You’ve been with my grandpa for so many years and now he suffered from a stroke because of my son’s missing. Are you sure this is what you want to see?”
In the dark, Alison clenched her hands tightly and she was struggling. She covered her ears as she didn’t want to listen to Nicole, but the more unwilling she felt to listen, the more clearly she heard her voice.
“When you were with me, I wasn’t mean to you. If you’re not satisfied with me, you can tell me, I can do what I can, I’ll try to do something even if I can’t, okay? I’m a mother and a woman too, you should be able to understand my feeling right now. I beg you, Alison.”
Nicole’s voice kept entering her ears.
Ernesto couldn’t help but felt somewhat angry as he couldn’t find Alison even though he had searched everywhere.
“Alison, come out! What is your purpose since you contacted me last time? Was it to take away Ma’am’s child? Even if our relationship was just an exploit, can you please let me know at least?”
Alison felt that her heart was about to be torn apart.
She took a deep breath and finally walked out.
The moment Nicole saw her, she was excited.
“Alison.”
“Ma’am, I’m sorry that I can’t tell you the whereabouts of the young master, but I can tell you that he is safe and fine.”
What she said made Nicole squint.
“I’m the child’s mother, I want to see my son.”
“I can’t make the decision.”
“Then let the person who can make the decision talk with me!”
Her attitude was forceful.
When he heard Alison say that, he knew what Nicole said was true.
Alison had really betrayed him.
“Why? Alison, you tell me the reason!”
As she faced his questioning, she turned her head and bit her lower lip without speaking. However, her eyes were filled with tears and entanglements.
She looked guilty as she looked at Nicole’s injured shoulder.
“Ma’am, you’re injured. It’s better to go back and rest early. I’ll take care of a young master.”

The book is slow....too many words are wasted to explain...need a better translator.......
God I want to read the book but it's freaking annoying, Samuel Green, Nicole Bush, Lucas Bush, Jacob Brown in every line.....I hope this author grows...the book would have been okay but it's affecting my mood...
Does the author have write the full names of the characters all the time...it's annoying...we are reading the book, we know their surnames already.......
What is it with Chinese authors. The characters are slow, he finally opened his mouth, it took him so long just to say two words...the house keeper would have put the person out before he even spoke....is this really how people are over there..the characters are always lost in thought, they might as well live in their heads.....
