“Aren’t you going to try it on?” asked Zoe in jest while looking at Lucas.
The latter cast her a glance and said indifferently, “Are you making trouble again?”
“I just want to know if you really have eight abs, as Yasmeen said.”
Lucas slightly frowned. “Can you just be a gentlewoman? Besides, leave Yasmeen alone. Don’t influence her.”
“Gee! Has she influenced me, or have I influenced her? You should know I’m single right now.”
Zoe was a bit annoyed.
Lucas answered flatly, “You are single, but it doesn’t mean you can’t get pleasure by fancying men.”
“Lucas!”
Zoe felt his words had hurt her.
With a smile, Lucas asked, “Are you here to tell me about this?”
“Of course not.”
Zoe directly sat down opposite Lucas, found a mug, and gave it to him.
“You made the tea?” asked Zoe.
“Ehn.”
Lucas nodded in confirmation.
Recently he fell in love with the taste of the tea, so he made some. However, seeing Zoe’s frown, he took another tea set and made some tea.
Looking at Lucas’s elegant movements, Zoe couldn’t tell that he was a soldier at all.
Even after serving in the military for several years, he still looked like a nobleman -- steady, reserved, and aloof.
“Lucas, I remembered you didn’t care about Yasmeen at all before. Why did you suddenly accept her?”
Upon hearing it, Lucas paused while making the tea. He glanced at her and said, “Jus straight to the point.”
“You are not lovely at all,” Zoe complained.
Lucas answered flatly, “Girls can be lovely. Do you think it’s an appropriate word for me?”
“All right. I’ll stop beating around the busy. Why did you suddenly accept Yasmeen?”
“I was moved by her. Her persistence worked,” answered Lucas.
However, Zoe curled her lips. “Her persistence on you? Your heart is made of diamond. Nothing could move it at all. Come one. Tell me. Did you happen to know something?”
“What do you think I’m supposed to know?”
Lucas put down the teapot and looked at Zoe in amusement.
Zoe cursed him for being so cunning, but she went straight to the point.
“Did you happen to know Yasmeen was your renal donor?”
Her question came so sudden, but Lucas wasn’t surprised at all.
Zoe looked like a doll, but all members of the Green family knew she always represented the whole family.
Lucas only kept silent, but Zoe knew she had guessed the correct answer.
“Did you accept Yasmeen because of this?”

The book is slow....too many words are wasted to explain...need a better translator.......
God I want to read the book but it's freaking annoying, Samuel Green, Nicole Bush, Lucas Bush, Jacob Brown in every line.....I hope this author grows...the book would have been okay but it's affecting my mood...

What is it with Chinese authors. The characters are slow, he finally opened his mouth, it took him so long just to say two words...the house keeper would have put the person out before he even spoke....is this really how people are over there..the characters are always lost in thought, they might as well live in their heads.....
