“Boss, are you thinking too much? How can Joseph such a courteous man be in the security bureau? Don’t fool around, okay?”

Edison retorted subconsciously but he heard Lucas saying, “Just investigate as I ask you to. Why do you have so many excuses?”

“Fine.”

Edison did not say anything else.

Lucas thought of Yasmeen.

She must have been worried about him right now?

She was about to have an operation. If she was in a bad mood, it would affect the quality of the operation.

Lucas said hurriedly as he thought of this, “Help me pass a message to Yasmeen.”

“What?”

“Tell her to wait for me to come back. Just relax and go for the operation. I want to stay with her for the rest of my life.”

Edison felt so disgusting when he heard Lucas’s words. He could not help but say, “Boss, don’t be so disgusting. Can’t you just send her a message? Why do you need me to pass her a message?”

“If I could, how would I let you hear these words? Did you forget to bring your brain with you recently?”

Edison’s mouth twitched again as he heard Lucas teasing him.

He really did not think that much.

If Lucas could do it conveniently, he would not ask him to find out Joseph’s information, let alone pass Yasmeen a message. So, Edison was being careless.

However, Edison also noticed something else.

“Boss, you’re being monitored?”

“That’s why you have to help me.”

Lucas did not trust too many people around him. Edison was definitely the one that he could believe in.

Edison became energetic when he heard Lucas’s words.

“Boss, how can I help you?”

“Help me to get in touch with Jaydon. Let her arrange somebody from the Green family to come and assist me at the location I sent.”

Lucas did not dare to let Jaydon come as her main task was to protect Yasmeen.

Lucas acted carefully since Julian actually dared to appear in Joseph’s video. After all, Yasmeen had been in contact with Julian before.

Julian was smart and even cunning, so Lucas felt uneasy due to his presence.

He had tried to avoid Julian from finding Yasmeen during the period before and after her operation, not to let him have a single chance.

Edison could have an enjoying chat with Lucas previously. However, he really tensed up when he heard him mention Jaydon.

“Boss, did something happen to you? I will come and assist you.”

“No need. I will be exposed if you come. Just do as I say.”

Lucas declined it directly.

Now, many people were keeping an eye on the military hospital secretly. Everybody knew that Edison was his best friend. So, if he took any action, the people outside would know about it and follow him. At that moment, Joseph’s hard work would be in vain.

However, he could not stay here and just waited for Joseph to get into danger alone. He had to go and save Joseph!

Lucas had already planned everything.

Actually, he was desperate to meet Yasmeen.

That silly girl was brave when she donated her kidney. However, how could one not fear lying on the operating table?

She had donated her kidney without informing anybody, suffering the fear alone. Now, he initially thought that he would be able to stay by her side, but he still did not have the chance to do so.

Did he have to miss other chances to stay with Yasmeen in the future?

Lucas was overwhelmed with sorrow.

He really did not want to miss any moments getting along with Yasmeen.

If the plan went well, he should be able to make it in time before Yasmeen’s operation.

After Jaydon had walked out, she contacted the bodyguards from the Green family quickly. She gave Lucas’s instruction to them through their secret language.

It was not a secret that the Green family had hired many bodyguards. So, Jaydon divided them into three groups, one in charge of the Capital City, another for the Seapolis City, also one for the Hill family.

Jaydon could only inform the people from Night Elf to secretly arrive at the place indicated by Lucas after these three groups had taken action.

Lucas was lying on the bed and having a rest but he kept recalling Joseph’s every move that was so calculating.

He was even convinced that Joseph must have another identity. Otherwise, how did he know such a confidential issue about Julian?

Moreover, how was he able to guess that he was investigating Julian?

Even if he was his elder brother who tried to help him, wasn’t this information too coincident?

If Joseph was not somebody from a special department, then it could only mean that he really had a strong background.

While Lucas was pondering, the bodyguards outside the door were nervous.

They knew Lucas’s combat skills. If Lucas really wanted to leave, they might not be able to stop him.

One of the bodyguards thought of the potion that was mentioned by Joseph before he had left. He found it out hurriedly and held it in his hand.

“Joseph has said that if there’s no other way, just let him sleep.”

That guy stammered as if he was looking for allies. However, the room was in complete silence.

“Go and see if he is still there?”

The man with the potion nudged the person beside him.

The man next to him glanced at him and said, “Don’t think that I don’t know what you’re up to? I won’t go and die as you wish! Let’s go together but if something happens, do you think that you will be able to escape?”

He was right indeed.

Both of them went into Lucas’s room together but the window was wide open. Lucas had got out a long time ago.

Their faces instantly turned pale.
