Don't Try to Escape, My Wife! novel Chapter 847

Seeing that Nicole was slightly stunned, Audrey asked, "What's wrong? Did Samuel say anything?"

"No. I was just thinking that maybe I was too immersed in drawing just now and didn't hear his call. I'll call him later. Mom, just go to sleep. I'll ask Steve for help. It’s late. Don't stay up with me."

Nicole said with a smile.

She did not want Audrey to worry. Even if something happened to Samuel, she did not intend to let Audrey know.

Audrey had been in the officialdom for so many years, so she could clearly see Nicole through. However, since Nicole did this for her, she'd better pretend that she didn't know anything.

She smiled and said, "Alright, I'll go to sleep first. Don't be too late and take care of yourself. You're pregnant."

"I see."

Nicole smiled and watched Audrey out.

After Nicole closing the door, her smile froze.

She took out her phone and found that there were no text messages or phone calls. She became even more nervous.

Nicole called Samuel, but no one answered.

She called him six times in a row, but got the same response.

Nicole was anxious.

She didn't give up and called Samuel again. This time, the call was answered, but a woman's voice rang.

"Hello, who are you looking for?"

Nicole suddenly paused.

Samuel would often go to the clubhouses for some social activities, but he had never had a woman to stay with him. Nicole knew about this. And he would never let someone else to touch his cell phone.

Her gaze darkened.

"Who are you?"

Nicole's voice was cold, making the other woman pause for a moment. Then, she sounded weak and said in a low voice, "I am the princess of the clubhouse."

Nicole knew what the "Princess" meant. Just because of this, she was annoyed.

It wasn't strange for Samuel to go to the clubhouse, but it was strange for him to ask a princess to stay with him, not to mention that the woman was allowed to get access to his phone. Nicole's gaze turned colder.

"What about him?"

The woman swallowed and then said, "You mean Mr. Green?"

"Where is he?"

"Mr. Green is drunk. Someone helped him upstairs to rest. His phone was left here and I came to get his phone."

Hearing this, Nicole could hardly control her anger.

Damn! You bastard, Samuel!

'When you left, I thought something important had happened. But actually, you went to the clubhouse to drink with a princess!"

Nicole was both jealous and angry. Her rationality was about to burn up.

"Give me the address!"

The other woman told the address to Nicole.

Nicole hurriedly stood up and opened the door before she changed her clothes. After walking out of the door, she felt a little cold. Looking down, she saw that she was still wearing pajamas.

Thinking of clubhouse, she frowned slightly. Then Nicole went back to her room and changed her clothes. Only then did she go to find Steve.

"Do you have the car key? I'm going out."

Nicole's voice was very low, which shocked Steve.

Fortunately, Steve had the habit of sleeping in his shirt for so many years, so that it wasn't embarrassing.

"Miss Bush, are you going out? Let me go with you."

"No need."

Nicole directly refused him.

Looking at Nicole, Steve felt that she was angry. But who made her angry?

Nicole noticed that Steve's gaze was wandering around her all the time and she was afraid that he would tell Edwin. She said irritably, "I'll wait for you outside."

Steve understood this sentence.

He immediately got up, put on his clothes, and immediately came to the garage.

Nicole seems to be quite angry and her expression was gloomy. Steve wanted to ask what happened, but he dared not to ask because of the serious atmosphere.

"Shall we tell Mr. Shaw?"

"No need. Grandfather is asleep. And it's nothing big. Come with me to pick up someone."

Nicole said lightly, but Steve was very focused.

They drove the car and left the military compound.

According to the address given by that woman, Nicole asked Steve to drive to the clubhouse.

Looking at the golden and resplendent clubhouse, Nicole felt much angrier. She tried to suppress it.

She wanted to hear what kind of explanation Samuel would give her.

Seeing how angry Nicole was, Steve guessed out what was happening when he saw the clubhouse.

"Miss Bush, Mr. Green is not that kind of man. He...."

"Shut up!"

Nicole was not in a good mood, so naturally she couldn't control her temper now.

Steve shut up. He felt that Nicole's temper at this time was really similar to Edwin's.

He stood behind Nicole and looked at her. She paused for a moment and then made a phone call.

"Which floor?"

"Room 1308 on the 13th floor."

The woman's voice was not loud. Nicole's gaze darkened.

Didn't Olivia like Jacob?

Why did she stay with Samuel?

Nicole looked at Samuel, who seemed as if he was really drunk. His upper body was naked and Nicole didn't know what was going on with his lower body, because it was covered by the sheets.

However, since she had already kicked the door so rudely and Samuel was still unconscious, this was weird.

"What did you do to him?"

Nicole's gaze was extremely cold, which made people feel as if the cold breeze was piercing through their bones.

Olivia lowered her head and said in a low voice, "Nothing. I just put some medicine in his wine and made him more enthusiastic. Now that he was weak, he should have fallen asleep."

As she spoke, Olivia pretended to pull her collar.

Seeing the hickey on her neck, Nicole unconsciously clenched her fists, and her fingernails inserted into her palm. But it was less painful than that in her heart.

"Why?"

"There's no reason. I just feel that Samuel is good. He's obsessed and I've lost myself. You can scold me or hit me. I know your temper. After all these years, you definitely won't forgive me. Don't worry. I'll leave tomorrow. And I'll never see you again after I leave."

Olivia kept her head down, and Nicole couldn't see her face clearly.

Nicole's heart ached, and she was filled with anger. If the person in front of her wasn't Olivia, she would directly knock that person down and beat her to death. But now, it was Olivia, her best friend. Nicole couldn't do anything about it.

"Scram! I don't wanna see you again in this lifetime!"

Nicole's voice trembled, but she tried to suppress it. She also sounded hoarse.

Olivia knew that this was all that Nicole could do. She might hurt herself.

Olivia looked up at Nicole. Seeing her cold expression, Olivia wanted to say something. But in the end, she gave up and quietly left after dressing up.

Nicole was dumbfounded.

She wasn't blind, so she could tell that Olivia's walking posture was strange.

Olivia always knew to preserve her purity. After so many years, she was still a virgin. She hadn't crossed the last limit in her previous relationship with Jacob. She said that she wanted to do that until the wedding.

Now she looked so weak and couldn't take a firm stand. Nicole could imagine how intense last night had been.

Nicole could not bear all of this.

One was her favorite man, and the other was her best friend. How could she endure this?

And who should she hate?

Samuel left immediately after receiving the phone call. Could it be that Olivia called him? But why did Samuel look so bad back then?

Could it be that they had already had an affair long time ago?

But why didn't Nicole notice that?

Or did Olivia plan all this by casual opportunities?

Nicole was trapped in this series of questions.

Looking at Samuel who was still unconscious on the bed, she suddenly kicked the bed. The strength made the bed tremble, but still didn't wake up the people on the bed.
