Don't Try to Escape, My Wife! novel Chapter 888

"Jacob, what's going on?"

Samuel unlocked the phone and put himself on speakerphone.

Jacob whispered, "Mr. Green, Elvis disappeared."

Nicole's face cracked into a smile.

"He can't never run away from us. Check who he contacted and go find him."

"Yes, madam."

Jacob would certainly listen to Nicole. Though Samuel hadn't said anything, Jacob knew that Samuel would do the same.

After hanging up the phone, Samuel looked at Nicole, smiling faintly, "Somehow I feel like I don't know my wife. How did you become so powerful anyway?"

"I'm not powerful. I just happen to know someone."

Nicole knew that it was time for her to confess.

She tried to sit up, and Samuel promptly placed the pillow behind her so that she could lean comfortably against it.

Nicole held Samuel's hand and whispered, "I didn't mean to lie to you. It's just that I didn't think it was a big deal. Besides, I didn't have many opportunities. It was just a one-time favor."

"What was it, exactly?"

"It all starts with Lucas."

Nicole paused for a moment and began to talk.

"Lucas has been interested in computers since he was little. I didn't notice this at that time. It was Allen who discovered it. He said that if the kid really liked it, he would invite a teacher to teach him. Either way, it would be good for Lucas."

After saying this, Nicole sensed that Samuel's expression turned somewhat gloomy. She knew that this man might be jealous again.

"Come on. It's all history now. Lucas and I are now with you. Doesn't that mean more to you?"

Still, Samuel was quite upset. He muttered, "But I have missed a lot of your precious memories. And Allen was a part of these memories at all time. When I think of this, I feel sad."

Nicole couldn't say anything about this. The situation back then was too complicated. She really didn't know that Samuel was innocent. She was also very regretful that Samuel was not there with them.

"It's OK. We still have a baby on the way, don't we? I believe you will be a great father this time."

"You think?"

"Of course."

Hearing Nicole's words, Samuel laughed like a child.

Nicole sighed and said, "Do you want to me to continue or not?"

"Sorry. Sorry. You go on."

This time, Samuel sat there like an obedient kid and listened carefully.

Nicole continued, "The teacher Allen found for Lucas was very skilled. Later on, we found out that he was a hacker of the 158 organization."

"What? Does that mean Allen knows people from 158?"

Samuel immediately thought of this.

Nicole shook her head.

"No, Allen didn't know the identity of the teacher. Only Lucas knew. Since Lucas was so gifted, his teacher wanted to take Lucas to the organization. Given Lucas' age and talent, he might grow up to be a pillar of the organization if trained properly. Lucas only told me about this. It was a rather awkward situation. And I didn't want to have anything to do with the Tang Family for this favor. So I made an agreement with the 158 organization. When Lucas turned 10 years old, we would then see if he was still interested. So it was not I but Lucas who knew the organization. I didn't ask them for the favor then because that was not the right time. Besides, Lucas was hanging around just like other boys. And I think it's quite good. The reputation of a genius is great, but it can also make him lose a lot of fun, don't you think?"

Nicole told me all about the 158 organization at one go. Only then did Samuel nod his head.

"What a surprise! I didn't expect that my son would be valued by the 158 organization. This means that he is really talented."

"Since you mentioned it, when did you put the shares of the group under my name? Do you know that if you don't give me that 25% of the shares, you will be the biggest shareholder of the company. Now that you have the same shares as me, others may gossip about this."

"Then what? Mine is yours. I haven't given you all the shares, because there is still something I have to deal with. Otherwise, you are my boss. You can do whatever you want me to do. And I will go wherever you want me to go."

"Are you still the Samuel I know?"

Nicole smiled and looked at him.

Samuel held her hand tightly and said gently, "I can be anybody, but I have to be with you. I only need you."

"Sweet words, but I like it."

As Nicole spoke, she fell into Samuel's arms.

It was only a day or two of separation. But after all these things, Samuel just missed her so much.

He threw his arms around Nicole and kissed her so hard.

With all these experiences, Nicole began to feel a little tired.

She leaned against Samuel and whispered, "The Green family has gone through several layoffs. Why are there still a mole in our family? Gerry died in our basement at that time. And it must had something to do with the mole. Samuel, you must find this person. Otherwise, our family might get into trouble."

"I know. I will take care of it. Don't worry."

Samuel held Nicole gently and sniffed her hair. Yet a look of hatred flashed across his eyes.

Nicole was probably too tired. She fell asleep in Samuel's arms.

Looking at Nicole's exhausted face, Samuel felt so bad. He helped her lie down and tucked the sheets for her. After calling the nurse to take care of her, he left the ward alone.

The instant Samuel got out of the ward, his face hardened. The grim look on his face made the reporters around the ward stiffened with fear.

They knew that the Seapolis City might not be as peaceful anymore.
