In the early morning, Victoria got up, as she didn’t sleep well last night.
She was thinking about Mateo’s matter all the time, so after getting up, she was in a daze at her bedside.
After seeing Victoria sitting at the bedside, Maximilian held her in his arms.
“You’re concerned?” asked Maximilian gently.
She nodded and then laid her head on Maximilian’s shoulder.
“Today might not go smoothly,” said Victoria worriedly.
She didn’t trust Maximilian’s words at all. How could Maximilian deal with such a powerful man like Mateo? Nearly no one in H City could change Mateo’s mind, let alone Maximilian. Her family’s company was in danger.
“Don’t worry. I’m the man you can rely on,” said Maximilian tonelessly.
Victoria shook her head before got rid of Maximilian’s hug.
“I shall go to the company to discuss an urgent public relations plan in today’s meeting.”
“You go to wash your face and I will prepare the breakfast for you.”
Then Maximilian went to the kitchen directly, which brought Victoria a sweet feeling. However, it changed into worries at once.
After Victoria finished dressing up and the breakfast, she went out with her strong mind.
As for Maximilian, after cleaning up the table, he sent a message to Mateo to tell him some details that he should care for during the apology.
When Victoria arrived at meeting room of the company, Grandpa Samuel was sitting at the center with a deep expression, and Andrew, Darian, Franklin, Iris were sitting at his sides.
They all stared at Victoria angrily. In their view, it was Victoria who caused the crisis for the Griffith Group.
“Don’t you feel ashamed to come here? Look at these. More and more dealers refuse to be our partners. Some of them even asked for sales return!”
Iris threw a pile of documents to Victoria. Although Victoria felt aggrieved, she didn’t retort, only sitting on her seat quietly.
“Victoria! Our company was going to expand the business to the whole province. But because of you, our company is going to go bankrupt. Why did you offend Mateo? You must solve the problem!” Darian reproached her.
They all knew that the key person was Mateo. Only if Mateo was satisfied, the Griffith family could go through the difficulty.
Grandpa Samuel had reached a consensus with Andrew and the others. After their hint, Grandpa Samuel agreed with their solution, which was to force Victoria to sleep with Mateo.
“Victoria, I think you are clear about the condition and difficulty we are meeting. Only if you can make Mr. Mccarthy satisfied, the problem will be solved. Therefore, at this time, you should sacrifice yourself for our whole family. Do you agree?” Andrew said the most dirty idea with the most innocent tone. His intention made Victoria shudder.
Franklin sneered before he looked at the silent Victoria with disdainful expression.
Iris laughed proudly and then took her phone in hand. “If you are shy, I can make the phone call for you.”
“You...” Victoria’s eyes were full of tears and her lips were trembling.
“So what? How could things be like this if your useless husband didn’t beat Mr. Mccarthy? You are all jerks!”
Andrew shouted when he banged the table, “Call Mr. Mccarthy now!”
Franklin stood up and walked to Victoria. Then he took her bag away to find her mobile phone.
“Think about how to apologize to Mr. Mccarthy. Your voice should be soft and sweet. Don’t be silly again. If Mr. Mccarthy isn’t satisfied, the whole family will be down and out!”
Victoria gnashed her teeth while saying firmly, “No, I won’t do it.”
“Fuck you!” Franklin went furious and threw her bag on the table. “You’re dead!”
Iris twitched her mouth and said disdainfully, “Be smart, or I will ask someone to strip off your clothes and put you on Mr. Mccarthy’s bed! Cut it out! It’s not only your matter, but the matter of the whole family!”
Creak. The door of the meeting room was opened. The secretary went in hastily. “Many luxury cars with the provincial capital license numbers came outside.
“Provincial capital number? Mr. Mccarthy is coming to claim an apology?”
