Chapter 134
Just the Hayes family alone was enough to deal with Hunt Enterprises–there was nothing to fear.Still, Julian spoke up. “So what?
Does it mean I can’t hit you because I know who you are?”
“Of course!” Joseph snapped.
“Our Hunt family is one of the top few in Ravenshore. You think we’d just let you walk all over us?I…
“So, you mean you’d even dare to lay a hand on the elder heiress of the Walton family?”
The moment Julian finished, Joseph raised his hand to retort, his mouth working faster than his brain. “Why would I care if she’s the elder… what? Heiress of the Walton family?”
Joseph’s expression froze.
His arm was still mid–air, making him look utterly ridiculous.
His gaze shifted from Julian to Tessa, disbelief written all over his face.
He stammered, “You’re the elder heiress of the Walton family?”
“I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Tessa Walton.”
Tessa lifted her chin slightly, her face full of haughtiness as she stared at Joseph.
She enjoyed the stunned look on his face–it gave her a strange sense of satisfaction.
A moment ago, when he yanked her, he didn’t have that attitude.
Joseph instinctively stepped back two paces, forgetting even the pain on his face.
For a moment, his mind went blank, the world spinning around him.
Some bystanders who had recognized Joseph earlier and followed over to watch the drama broke into loud laughter.
“Wow, I was wondering what the rush was all about!”
“Exactly! Turns out he came to find younger heiress of the Walton family but mistook the elder one for her instead.”
“You know, it’s actually hilarious. He’s been with Aurora Walton for so long and still didn’t know her real identity.”
The surrounding voices surged like a tide.
Joseph’s face turned pale as he clenched his fists, convinced something had gone terribly wrong.
Thinking back carefully–Tessa never admitted she was the younger heiress of the Walton family that day.
He’d been too impulsive.

Now that he was forced to face the reality, Joseph reluctantly looked at Tessa and muttered an apology.
“Apologies, Miss Walton. I mistook you for someone else that day.”
Joseph ignored the voices around him.
But Julian had no intention of letting him off so easily. “So what? You got the wrong person, and a simple apology makes it all okay?”
“What do you want, then?”
Joseph turned to face Julian’s icy expression, completely at a loss as to what this man was after.
He had only heard bits and pieces about Julian–knew his family background was decent–but as for the man himself, Joseph
thought he was just a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Julian curved his lips into a faint smile.
