Lucas gave a faint grunt and stood up to leave.

He hadn’t wanted to tutor Wendy in the first place, but she kept pestering him, and he eventually gave in and entered her room to

go over the project.

He also remembered what Kenneth had asked of him.

After all, she was his only sister–he couldn’t just ignore her after she came all the way to his turf.
