She placed a hand on her lower back, shot him a mock glare, and turned toward the bedroom.

The sight made Lucas freeze. The teasing look she shot his way was pure temptation, knocking the air from his lungs and making

“What are you standing there for? Don’t feel like it?”

Aurora tossed the words over her shoulder with a teasing lilt. “If you’re not up for it, never mind. I’ll go back by myself.”

Wendy clenched her fists, her usually bright, doe–like eyes now clouded with suppressed anger as she stared daggers at Lucas.

She refused to believe it. There was no way her Lukey would actually go.
