Chapter 286
Aurora’s tone grew more and more dismissive.
Joseph felt like his pride had been stomped into the ground.
He faked a reason, trying to retreat, “Uh, I’ve got something on today. Aurora, I’ll come find you next time… no, I mean,
whenever you’re free.”
But the moment his eyes met Aurora’s, laced with a clear warning, he immediately corrected himself, not daring to mention
coming again.
Only then did Aurora nod in satisfaction, watching him leave with Judy.
The surrounding crowd could only sigh in awe.
Everyone was especially curious about the list Aurora held. What exactly was on it that could make Joseph so afraid of it being
exposed?
Among them were entertainment reporters holding their mics, unable to resist asking, “Miss Walton, could you tell us what’s on
that list?”
“Maybe another time.”
Aurora turned them down without hesitation. That list was still useful to her. If it were made public now, how was she supposed
to keep Joseph in check later? –
The reporter tried to press again, but Aurora didn’t give him the chance.
She strode past him and headed straight for her car.
He considered chasing after her, but seeing her retreating figure, he ultimately gave up.
There was no point in pushing.
He might as well go get his pay from Joseph.
There was no way he came all this way for nothing. He couldn’t leave empty–handed.
The more he thought about it, the more anxious he got.
He had to find Joseph quickly.
Otherwise, that money might just slip away.
By then, the crowd had mostly dispersed. No one noticed the discreet Bentley still parked in the corner.
Its window slowly rolled down, and the man inside kept his eyes fixed on Aurora’s silhouette.

Chapter 286
A glimmer of amusement flashed through the man’s eyes.
He hadn’t expected Aurora to become this intriguing.
Compared to before, she was like a completely different person.
“Aurora Walton… turns out you’re even more interesting than your sister.”
Sitting in the car was none other than Julian.

Ever since Yvonne made a scene at the banquet, Julian had started seeing her in a different light–less fondly, less favorably.
In fact, at times, he even found her embarrassing, especially now, watching Aurora grow more capable by the day, Yvonne paled even more in comparison.
