Looking at the solemn Allison, Bernard reminded, “Mr. Parker added, that you must take good care of it and don’t lose it again.”

Allison took over the wedding ring and put it on her left ring finger and felt that it weighed heavily on her. Previously she was very clear of her simple relationship with Alexander but now it seemed to be more complicated.

After leaving the International Hotel of J City, she soon arrived at the villa. Allison could smell the fragrance of cooking as she entered the villa. Just as she was wondering who was doing the cooking, she saw a person walking out of the kitchen.

A woman in her forties looked at Allison and her eyes lit up and went over to her, “You must be Ms. Gibson?”

Allison was puzzled, “You are?”

“I’ve been transferred over from the old residence to take care of your daily needs.”

Bernard walked forward and explained to Allison, “Mr. Parker specially transferred Lara over to take care of you.”

“Take care of me?”

Allison was about to decline when Lara enthusiastically led her towards the dining hall, “I’m here to take care of you and master. I had taken care of master since he was young and I’m very clear about what he likes. Since master married you, I’ll have to address you as missus. I’ve prepared dinner but do not know if they suit your tastes…”

Allison was led to the dining hall and saw a table full of sumptuous dishes. Her doubts disappeared as soon as she sampled the dishes and she no longer thought about rejecting Lara.

“Lara, the meatballs are delicious!”

Allison loved Lara’s cooking and did not notice someone approaching.

Lara was listening to Allison’s praises from the kitchen and smiled from ear to ear, “Eat more if you like them! The steamed pear is about to be served!”

Allison was about to answer when she noticed a person standing to one side. She was so startled to see Alexander standing a short distance away that she almost dropped her chopsticks.

“You… why are you back?”

Alexander looked at the woman’s changing expression and was surprised. She was eating happily just a moment ago and became so scared when she saw him. Was he so frightening?

“Can’t I come back to my own home?” Alexander raised his eyebrows and walked over to sit down opposite her.

“Oh,” Allison answered and lowered her head without continuing with the conversation. She started to think about what happened at the International Hotel of J City when she saw the person in front of her. Her cheeks instantly became red hot.

Just at that moment, Lara came out of the kitchen with a bowl of soup and saw both of them at the table. She immediately smiled, “Master’s back!”

She noticed the sullen Allison and couldn’t help but ask, “Missus, why aren’t you eating?”

The title ‘Missus’ made Allison blush even more and her eyes looked towards the man opposite and shook her head, “I’m full, I’ve eaten my fill.”

After she said, she stood up, turned, and left.

Just as she was halfway up the stairs, a man’s voice said, “Why did you run off?”

Alexander chased after her and blocked her path with his arm. Allison looked up at the handsome man and her heart started to race. Who would expect Alexander to lower his head and grin mischievously, “Are you afraid that I might eat you?”

“I…” Allison was stunned and couldn’t say a word.

When he saw her startled looks, Alexander grabbed her hand and led her towards the bedroom.

Allison became unsettled, “You… what do you intend to do?”
