Allison was dumbfounded upon hearing the word ‘wife’, and felt it ridiculous soon.

She was indeed Alexander’s wife, but was just a wife a name. Who the heck was Elaine Hunter? She had been kept in dark of her existence from the very beginning.

Allison felt even more upset when she thought of this. Plus her temperament as she just got up from the bed, she suddenly got a nerve. She shifted her gaze and murmured, “Just a couple in name…”

As Alexander was sitting beside the bed, he heard it clearly although her voice was tiny. He frowned and tightened his grip of her hand, “Who said we’re just a couple in name?”

They done everything what should be done between the husband and wife. How could they be regarded as a couple in name?

Allison retorted in a fit of pique, “I said it.”

But when she was speaking, she didn’t dare to look into his eyes. Suddenly, he pinched her jaw and turned her head aside, and therefore she saw his perfect handsome face.

Although Allison got chances to get along with Alexander in usual times, it was the first time for her to look into his eyes in such a close distance. Moreover, they were all sober now. She was flustered at the moment and her heartbeat accelerated uncontrollably.

“You…”

Alexander interrupted her, “We’ve done everything that should be done between the husband and wife. Why shouldn’t we be regarded as a real couple?”

Allison’s heart skipped one beat and her face flushed as she couldn’t help recalling the sex they had in the presidential suite of International Hotel of J City last time.

It seemed that… It was indeed true. Allison bit her lip as she couldn’t find an argument to retort it. Her face was red, maybe because she was shy or because she was angered. Panicked, she pushed away Alexander’s hand and shouted in anger, “I don’t want to come back! I won’t come back tonight!”

Before she could finish the words, Alexander suddenly stood up. Allison felt herself enveloped by a dark shadow and looked over. She hadn’t expected that the man would bend over.

Before she could react, he carried her up effortlessly and turned around.

She struggled. But Alexander seemed to have expected her tricks. He suddenly leaned over and whisper to her ear, “It you don’t come back with me, I’ll stay here tonight. Mom and Dad won’t mind me staying here. Even if your bed is small, there’ll be enough room if we squeeze up a little.”

Allison was dumbfounded at the moment, and then she felt so shy that she couldn’t raise her head.

Alexander held her in his arms, appearing to be composed, lowered his head and asked, “So, are you going home with me?”

Allison had no way to back down now. Even if she was unwilling, she had to agree with it. To top it off, she and Alexander had already got their marriage certificate. If he wanted to stay here, her mom would definitely arrange them to sleep in the same room.

Alexander lowered his head and asked patiently, “Go home or stay here, huh?”

Allison answered with her teeth gritted, “Go home…”

She had no other choice at the moment!

“All right.” Alexander curled his lips into a smile with satisfaction and strode out of the room.

When they walked out of the bedroom, Jennifer and Don were sitting in the living room. Apparently, they were quite curious about the thing happened between their daughter and son-in-law.

Alexander looked over and said with Allison in his arms, “Mom, Dad, I did something wrong today and angered Alice. I explained to her and now we’ve gotten over you. I’ll bring her home now. Don’t worry.”

“Okay, good, good.” Jennifer immediately stood up and walked over. She beamed when glancing at Allison who was in Alexander’s arms, “Alice, be magnanimous. You should be clear of your identity now.”

Allison buried her head in Alexander’s arms, fearing that her parents might see her red face and simply replied with a hum.

Jennifer wanted to exhort her furthermore, but was stopped by Don. Don glanced at Alexander and Allison, and said in a soft voice, “All right, now that the dispute is settled, you two can go back now. It would be late soon and it would become inconvenient.”

“Okay, then we’ll go back first.”
