Chapter 92
Children?
Dorothy’s mind flashed with the figure of Brenden, and she couldn’t think of any other reason for her loss of control besides
the incident with the mother and son.
“I laid a hand on a child?” she chuckled indifferent
“Mr. Lambert, I don’t know what you mean by these words.”
Dwayne yanked her wrist, “Wasn’t the cake bought by you?”
He dragged her, with no consideration for the strength, causing her wrist to ache.
Dorothy unconsciously pulled away, her nose turning red. “The cake was bought by Sonia, and I bought it. So what?”
Dwayne reached out his long arm, pulling her a step closer with his strength, just inches away from him, “Brenden is allergic
to chocolate, do you know that piece of cake almost killed him!”
Dorothy didn’t care about the pain in her arm being grabbed by him.
Suddenly, she was taken aback, looking somewhat dazed, “…Sonia never told me.”
“You were still lying.”
Dwayne’s eyes narrowed, inching closer to her step by step, wishing he could strangle her. “Sonia has already told you about Brenden’s allergy to chocolate. Is a mother like you even unaware of what her own child is allergic to?”
Dorothy stepped back step by step.
Not until her back hit the cold wall did she realize there was no way back.
Dwayne’s eyes, dark and sharp, seemed like a sharp sword ready to torture and kill her at any moment.
