Even before she could refuse, Dwayne dragged her to the pediatric ward.

Sonia sat on the bedside chair with a worried look on her face, holding Brenden’s hand. “Brenden, Mom is really scared, you

must wake up.”

Hearing the sound of the door being pushed open, she turned around, slowly stood up, “Dwayne…”

Brenden lay on the hospital bed, with red rashes still visible on his face and neck due to an allergic reaction.

Dwayne pushed Dorothy to Brenden’s bedside.

Expressionless, “This is what you have done.”

Dorothy’s hand clenched tightly at her side, she bit her lip and turned to look at Sonia. “Ms. Frazier, if I remember correctly, you didn’t mention this morning that your son is allergic to chocolate, did you?”

Sonia’s eyes welled up with tears, “Dr. Acosta, what do you mean by this? Are you saying that you want me to see Brenden lying in a hospital bed?”

“But you didn’t have it in the morning at all—”

“Enough.”

Dwayne took a step forward, shielding Sonia behind him, his gaze cold. “Dorothy, it has come to this, and you still don’t repent, is that right?”
