Enemies Become Mates novel Chapter 47

That was until a head popped out from the bush.

"Who are you?!" The boy yelled out and I put down the rock. My lip quivered and the tears began to fall from my eyes. His eyes widened in shock and he quickly ran out the bush coming by my side.

"W-Why are you crying?!" He kneeled down in front of me and began to wipe my tears.

"B-Because I thought I was going to die!" I cried out and he tilted his head to the side.

"Why would a rogue show up for? My father protects these lands, you're safe I swear." The boy spoke confidently.

"You don't know that! Anything can happen!" I snapped. The little boy scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest. I wiped away my tears and scooted away from him.

"Whatever...but you know you don't smell like you're from my fathers pack. You smell odd." The little boy leaned towards me and began to sniff me. I felt my face heat up and I pushed his face away from me.

"Don't sniff me y-you weirdo!" I said embarrassed. A goofy smile erupted on his face and he grabbed my hand all of a sudden.

"You may smell odd, but you're true scent smells nice! I like it!" He said. This boy is weird who says this to the person they just met?!

"Whatever, um I'm Cassie Dawson. What about you?" I introduced myself and held out my hand towards him. His eye lit up and he grabbed my hands shaking it roughly making my whole body move.

"And I'm-"

My eyes opened and I was staring up at the night sky. For a moment I was confused where I was at but then I remember. I'm near the border of Nolan's pack. I left secretly early this morning, it's been exactly 14 hours since I left. I rubbed my face, what a weird dream I had. I wonder how that boy is doing now.

I sat up stretching out my limbs and I can smell the Solar Shadows pack warriors that were patrolling their borders. I masked my scent so I won't be detected, I didn't want anyone following my scent. I'm going to deal this on my own.

Once I gathered more information from Ace, I made up a quick plan. I decided to play in on Nolan's game, he may think he's the king for now. But I'm going to make sure he falls below my feet for sure. Sure what I'm doing is dangerous and very much selfish, however if everything goes to plan then I will win.
