Chapter 488 Accept the Apology
"My mother hasn't been feeling well recently. It's just a small banquet, so I don't want to disturb her."
Leia smiled adorably. "Mr. Felton, you are very considerate. You will definitely lead the Felton family into prosperity."
"Thank you."
Ronian smiled faintly.
The servant who went upstairs to look for Jerry quickly ran back. "Mr. Felton, Mr. Jerry is not in his room. I don't know where he went. I can't find him."
Ronian's face darkened, and he cursed in a low voice, "How come! Where could he go? Hurry up and find him!"
"Yes."
The servant turned and left.
Todd and Leia looked at each other.
Leia seemed to have realized something and quickly changed the topic. "Mr. Felton, were you the one who arranged tonight's banquet? The decorations are so exquisite. Can 1 ask you for advice?
I might hold a banquet later as well."
Todd followed and said, "What's wrong, Mr. Felton? It's such a good night. Why do you seem unhappy?"
Ronian put away his sad expression and continued to smile politely.
Just as he was about to answer Leia's question, Ronian saw Dewey rushing over.
"Mr. Felton!"
But Dewey was stopped by viola halfway. "Dewey, where's Jennifer? Why haven't I seen her yet? She likes banquets the most."
In front of viola, Dewey could only suppress his anxiety. "Jennifer must be dressing up in her room. Mr. Felton bought her a pair of crystal earrings a few days ago. She's probably trying them on."
"Is that so?" Viola said with a gentle smile.
"Yes, Mrs. Hobson. I have something urgent to tell Mr. Felton. Excuse me."
Dewey moved two steps to the side, and Viola quickly followed, blocking his way so that Roman could not see Dewey.
"Dewey, the Felton's house is very huge. I can't find Jennifer's room. Can you take me there?"
"I..."
Viola continued to persuade, "The other servants in the Felton's house are all new here. I don't know a single one of them. Dewey, you are the kindest and nicest people I know here. Meanwhile, Mr. Felton is busy greeting guests. If there is anything else, you can talk about that after the banquet."
Dewey was conflicted for a while before he turned his head to look at Ronian from afar.
Seeing that Ronian was speaking to Leia and Todd, Dewey could only give up.
"Alright, Mrs. Hobson. Please follow me."
"Thank you."
A minute later, Jerry slowly walked out of his room. He first stood by the entrance and looked at the crowd in the garden. Finally, his gaze landed on Ormand.
Ormand seemed to have noticed something and looked back at Jerry.
Ronian started to feel impatient as Todd and Leia talked nonstop in front of him.
When he noticed Jerry, Ronian immediately dismissed Todd and Leia. Then Ronian walked over calmly and asked, "What took you so long? Where did you go just now?"
Jerry lowered his head and replied in a submissive manner, "I don't know what's going on. I had a stomach ache, so it took me a while in the toilet."
Hearing that, although Roman was very dissatisfied, he knew it was inappropriate to blame Jerry in front of so many people.
As he calmed himself down, Ronian continued, "How are the preparations going? Tonight, you must only succeed. Failure is forbidden, understand?"
