Tyrone didn't explain much to her. "There are somethings that I'm not sure about, but you don't get too close to him."
Cathy pondered for a few seconds. Until the waiter brought up the meal, she seemed to be refreshed and laughed. "You don't think I'm too close to him and you are jealous?"
The man didn’t deny, and his tone was smooth and gentle. "You are so smart, why do you ask again? I thought I had made it clear that day in the hospital. No matter you or our children, I did not think I would give them to anyone else."
"..."
Cathy's expression stagnated, with a feeling of rapid heartbeat and suffocation.
This declaration was understated and surprising.
"You are just for children." She mocked in a low voice then picked up her chopsticks and began to bow her head to eat, with her lips warped in a seemingly inconspicuous arc.
"Children can be born by anyone." The man's voice was very mild.
"..."
Cathy admitted that she was moved again.
She chewed slowly and swallowed the food in her mouth. Her voice became soft and said "I'll be careful. You should remember to rest .. when you... when you go back let me know."
"Well, just send me your time to Washington later."
"Well?" Cathy said, "Why do you want it?" If they were really busy then I might come back without staying.
"Just send it to me." The man didn't explain much.
Cathy couldn't stand him. “Oh” then she hung up.
Put down the mobile phone, her brain appeared the words of the man just said, and her eyes fixed on the mobile phone for a few seconds. A smile slowly appeared on her beautiful face. It was shallow and light, but the good mood could not be covered up.
It’s the first time, Cathy ate out all the food. She took out a paper towel and wiped her mouth. She went out of the restaurant satisfactorily .
Looking at the sunshine outside, she looked down at the time again. It was more than half an hour before she went to work. She couldn't rest even if she got back. She turned and walked slowly towards the square beside her, intending to take a walk.
Rory, who was still working in a nearby corner, saw her wandering outside. He appeared and then walked to her.
Cathy was walking leisurely in the sunshine. He could be seen as soon as she looked back. He didn’t go forward or backward. He kept a suitable distance with her. It’s not far or near.
She looked the same, regardless of him, and continued to walk along the cobblestone trail. After a while, she still couldn't resist. She went back to him and gave a trace of curios smile. "Can you tell me how much the man paid you in a year?"
She was just curious. How much money could a bodyguard like him who work 24 hours a day make? Would that be higher than the a department manager’s salary?
Rory looked at her with a slightly weird expression and said in a low voice, "Not much. They're all in my boss's office. They're distributed to me in the end of the year."
Cathy was so embarrassed that she choked.
She asked what the salary was.
Blinking her eyes, she blushed a little. "Oh!"
She quickly changed the topic and said with a smile, " I'm going to Washington these two days. You can have a holiday."
"Well." Rory just nodded but asked nothing more.
Cathy felt snubbed, and returned to the company after told him something.
Two days later, she took Nick and Aaron with her on the flight to Washington.
After landing in the afternoon, three tired people took the suitcases taking the taxi to the hotel directly .
After getting the room card, Cathy greeted the other two and went to her room.
