Chapter 557 The Right Person
Jason curved his lips and sat down, engaging in casual conversation.
Not far away, Flora watched the heart warming scene between the two and felt relieved.
It seemed that as Aletta had said, Jason didn’t care at all about the DNA report.
As long as Aletta was happy, everything was fine.
Ray noticed Flora’s concern.
Seeing her satisfied expression, he leaned closer to her and whispered, “Now you can finally put your mind at ease, right? Jason is different now. He treats Aletta as tenderly as he treats his own treasure.”
Flora raised an eyebrow and said, “That means Aletta loves the right person!”
Ray smiled and patted her head, persuading her, “Don’t think too much about it. Why not think about taking me to meet your parents instead of worrying about Aletta?”
“Uh, well…” Flora was distressed by Ray’s words.
Her parents found out about her relationship with Ray just a couple of days after she started her relationship with Ray.
They had been trying to arrange blind dates for her, urging her to find someone and get married as soon as possible.
Now that they knew she had someone, they changed their tune and
urged her to bring him home. But she hadn’t prepared herself for that
vel!
Seeing Flora’s hesitant and conflicted expression, Ray seemed to feel wronged and asked, “What? You don’t plan on introducing me to your parents?”
Flora felt guilty under his gaze.
However, she didn’t want to disappoint Ray, so she reluctantly agreed, “I’ll arrange it. I have been busy recently.”
She thought for a moment and said, “How about next weekend? Are you free?”
“Of course!” Ray readily responded without any hesitation.
The conversation between the two didn’t escape the attention of the children, who were playing nearby.
Unbeknownst to them, the children had already been drawn to their conversation and were eavesdropping intently.
When they heard this part, the children curiously asked, “Is Ray finally going to meet Flora’s parents?”
“Ray, you better make a good impression. Otherwise, you will be kicked out by Flora’s family.”
Ray raised an eyebrow upon hearing their remarks and he confidently said, “Don’t say that. How could someone as outstanding as me be kicked out?”
The children glanced at Ray and earnestly advised, “Ray, that’s not how you should put it. Confidence is good, but too much can be detrimental.”
Lucas chimed in, nodding with seriousness, “You’re going to take away Flora. By then, Flora’s parents will definitely test you! I think you should be prepared in advance.”
Ray was taken aback for a moment and felt that they got the points.
“You got the points. What should I do then? What gift should I prepare for the first visit? What clothes should I wear? What kind of topics should I bring up during the conversation? As for dining, should we book a restaurant or should I personally show my cooking skills…”
The previously confident Ray turned nervous right away.
It was rare to see someone who was usually carefree and unruly feeling so anxious. It was quite amusing!
Flora looked at him with a smile in her eyes, feeling a warmth in her
heart.
After a while, Aletta and Jason walked over. They saw the children huddling, whispering as if discussing some secret.
Aletta asked, “What are you all discussing about?”
Upon hearing Aletta’s voice, the children sold Ray out immediately.
“Ray is going to meet Flora’s parents, and we’re giving him tips on how to be likeable.”
Was Ray going to meet Flora’s parents?
Upon hearing this, Aletta glanced at the children and asked with a smile, “What kind of tips can you kids provide…”
Lyla raised her little chin triumphantly and proudly said, “There are plenty! Like speaking sweetly, pouring wine for the father–in–law, serving dishes, and complimenting the mother–in–law. We always saw
this on TV…”
Aletta couldn’t help but chuckle at their words.
She bent down and lightly patted Lyla’s head, “What have you been watching?”
Before the children could respond, Ray couldn’t sit still.
“Hey! I think Lyla has some useful suggestions. I need to learn from her.”
He then picked up Lyla and continued seeking advice from her.
Lyla was generous in sharing everything she had learned from TV dramas.
Watching this scene, Aletta laughed.
After playing around for a while, night fell, and a cool breeze filled the air.
Flora adjusted her coat and said, “Aletta, we should go home now.”
Aletta nodded, “Be careful on your way back. Come again whenever you want.”
