Chapter 210 But What If We Can’t Get Out?

He glanced around, I wasn’t sure if he had taken in my words. He uttered a noncommittal “oh”, got off the wheelchair, and started walking with a slight stagger. I supported him as we entered the courtyard of Water Villa.

I hadn’t been to this house for some days. I lived here for two years, everything seemed so familiar, yet everything also seemed so strange.

Noticing the person beside me had stopped again, I was used to his behavior. Looking at him, I said helplessly, “What’s wrong now?”

The man looked at the swimming pool in the yard, and I had no idea what he was thinking. Suddenly, inexplicably, he started to take off his clothes. In the three or four degree temperature, he was suddenly undressing. I quickly grabbed his hand, exclaiming, “What are you doing?”

The temperature was so low that even if he didn’t die in the cold wind, he would at least lose a layer of skin.

Seeing that I wouldn’t let him undress, he furrowed his handsome brows, looking at me innocently and said, “Didn’t you say we’re home? Can’t I take a bath and go to sleep?”

I glanced at the water in the pool and couldn’t help but laugh and cry a little. No wonder he was suddenly staring at the pool, he was planning to take a bath here.

Taking a deep breath, I had no temper left to scold him. Patiently, I said, “Go wash with hot water in the room, the water here is cold, you’ll get sick.”

After I finished speaking, he looked at me, his attractive eyes curving as he said, “Alright, I’ll listen to my wife.”

Mc??

Daughter-in-law?

Did he borrow this term from dogs?

I dragged him into the villa’s hall. Originally, I planned to just drop. him off and leave, but out of humanitarian considerations, I thought that if I left him now, he might just run back to the yard to take a bath. After weighing the pros and cons, I decided to be a good person to the end and took him to his room.

Just as I was about to coax him into the bathroom, he suddenly turned around and looked at me, his face serious as he said, “Tabatha.”

I paused, standing at the door watching him, “What’s wrong?”

This room used to be our bridal suite. After a long absence, it seems to be just as it was before.
