Chapter 418 These Drugs Were All Harmful to People

Sebastian, his face slightly pale, nodded, “Understood.”

“Hmm!” After responding, Ezra didn’t say much else.

Sebastian walked out in silence.

Naturally, I had no idea what these two were up to. Calmly, I

wondered what Ezra would say or do to me next, or even where he was planning to put me.

Ezra turned his gaze towards me, his emotions unreadable, and simply asked, “Did you apply the medicine?”

I pursed my lips, feeling that he was talking nonsense again. Unable to suppress my inner irritation. I said, “Get to the point, what is this? Are you planning to give a slap and then a candy?”

He furrowed his brows slightly, displeased, but didn’t lash out. Instead, he walked up to me and said, “Tabatha, the one who hurt you, it wasn’t

me.”

I laughed, “Is there a difference?” He brought me here, simply because he didn’t want me to have a good time. Whether or not he was the one who hurt me, it wasn’t the point.

Seeing me like this, he pursed his lips and didn’t speak anymore.

A moment later, Sebastian limped in, his body covered in wounds. Seeing him in this state, I was genuinely surprised, but after a second thought, I just furrowed my brows and didn’t ask any more questions.

Looking at me, Ezra glanced at Marguerite standing next to me and

said, “Take good care of her.”

It seemed, he had turned around and left.

Sebastian glanced at me, opened his mouth as if to say something, but then said nothing. He limped out after me.

In the room, it was only Marguerite and I. Seeing that everyone had left, I leaned against the bamboo, applied medicine, and the wound no longer hurt. However, I couldn’t help but feel increasingly uneasy.

In the past few days, Ezra was clearly absent, which is why Geraldine was able to take advantage. Such incidents will not be few in the future. Geraldine probably sees me as an imaginary enemy, which is why she targets me.

It wasn’t that I was afraid of her causing trouble, but if she came often, how could I possibly find a way to contact Stanley and let him know about the situation here?

This place was a den of iniquity, the Venom Rose outside could be harvested soon. If the police could be led here during the harvest, Ezra and his gang could be caught all at once. Illegally growing so many Venom Roses, as long as the police could catch Ezra on the spot, no matter how capable he was, it would be impossible for him to escape unscathed.

But just this, it was not enough, it was merely a Venom Rose, it couldn’t do anything to Ezra.

To frame Ezra, evidence of his illegal activities had to be found. Only then could the police arrest him with just cause.

Thinking of this, I suddenly looked up at Marguerite who was beside me, seeing her staring wide-eyed at the ground. Following her gaze, I couldn’t help but look over.

Catching sight of the pool of blood on the ground, I was momentarily taken aback, but quickly realized that it was the blood left from Ezra’s arm injury when he stepped in to block Geraldine’s attack for me earlier.

“Marguerite,” I began, attempting to draw her attention.

Hearing my voice, Marguerite turned to look at me, the worry in her dark eyes not yet hidden away. She asked me, “What…what’s wrong? Miss, is there something wrong?”

Looking at her, I forced a smile and shook my head slightly, saying, “It’s nothing serious, just wanted to chat with you, have a conversation, this blood…”

“It was left by the gentleman, he seemed to be seriously injured.”

I had barely uttered a word when Marguerite had already started speaking. I nodded slightly and said, “Bleeding, it must be somewhat serious. Are you very worried about him?”

She paused for a moment, then quickly shook her head, “No, I…” Apparently at a loss for words, she finally just blurted out, “The gentleman is a good man, everyone here wishes him well.”
