Briana didn’t miss a step, speaking with a nonchalant expression, “No, I just felt like I wasted my time coming here today.”

Seeing no trace of sadness on her face, Melody finally breathed a sigh of relief.

“Are you okay?”

Briana nodded, “Yeah, I’m just a bit hungry.”

“I took you to eat.”

“Good.”

Maxim gave Melody a slight nod, then left with Briana.

After getting on the car, Maxim turned his head to look at her.

“If you were upset, you could have spoken up.”

Briana turned her head, saw the worry in his eyes, and couldn’t help but laugh.

“I was really fine, I had stopped caring about the Schneider family a long time ago.”
