The nurse had already left the ward. Marshall then raised his hand to look at his palm.

"Then what happened to your face? Did Marshall hit you?"

Nova said nothing. After a while, she asked Brian, "What did you say to Marshall? Why did he keep saying that I was trying to sow discord between him and Louise?"

"I told him about Louise pretending to be his daughter. I showed him the paternity test and the letter."

Brian pinched his eyebrows in frustration. "Why did he still choose to believe Louise?"

Nova roughly understood the situation now and said indifferently, "I understand. You can leave first. I want to be alone for a while."
