Grace was really afraid she would fall in love with Brian again. Therefore, after the collaboration ended and the Francis Group transferred the rest of the money into Grace's account, she ruthlessly blocked Brian.

That night, when Brian sent a message to Grace, it was rejected. He felt terrible. He had been sitting on the sofa watching television with Jasmine when he suddenly jerked up.

"What's wrong, Brian?" Jasmine said.

Brian frowned and gripped his phone tightly.

Jasmine knew the situation was not good at first glance. She craned her neck and saw the eye-catching exclamation mark on Brian's phone screen. She didn't know how to comfort him. She sighed and said, "She's suffered enough. You just have to endure how she torments you now."

In the end, Jasmine couldn't bear to see her son sad. After a short silence, she said, "She hasn't eaten the food you brought for her, right?"

Brian's eyes darkened. He did not say anything, which meant Jasmine was right.

"I'll ask her out to go shopping tomorrow," Jasmine said.

Brian nodded slightly. "Thanks, Mom."

"Go to bed early," Jasmine told Brian.

Although Grace had cut off all contact with Brian, she could not refuse Jasmine's invitation. After all, Jasmine sincerely treated her well. Therefore, when Jasmine asked Grace out to shop, she readily agreed.

They went shopping, and Jasmine held Grace's hand.

Jasmine hoped Grace and Brian could be together again. Hence, after walking around, she mentioned Brian. "Grace, are you not going to consider being with Brian anymore?"

Grace nodded apologetically. "Jasmine, I know you like me, but I'm afraid. I've already lost my child and have been hurt badly. I feel that I've lost the ability to love."

"Yes, you have a point," Grace admitted.

"Then let's pick out gowns this afternoon," Jasmine suggested.

"Okay," Grace agreed.

After lunch, Grace and Jasmine went to a high-end studio. Jasmine was a VIP there. When she entered, the manager came to welcome them. "Jasmine, long time no see. Are you here to pick out a gown?"

"Yes. But mostly because my daughter is looking for one," Jasmine said.

The manager looked at Grace in surprise. He had known Jasmine for many years but had never heard she had a daughter.
