Joy was in between the two of them. Grace had been hugging her, putting some distance between her and Brian.
Joy pursed her lips and glanced at Brian. She seemed to understand something.
However, she listened to Grace and did not speak to Brian.
However, when the father and daughter looked at each other, Joy smiled at Brian.
Brian's heart suddenly softened, and the corners of his mouth subconsciously curled into a smile.
He reached out slowly and touched her hair.
After arriving home, Grace arranged a room for Brian. He slept alone while Grace slept with Joy.
It was late. Grace took a shower and brought Joy to sleep after they got home.
Brian was in the living room. He watched Grace and Joy enter the room and close the door.
He stared at the door for a long time until his body stiffened before returning to his room.
The next day, Grace took Brian to the hospital. She found Brian had been very quiet since he returned.
At the hospital, Brian had another examination, and Grace asked the doctor about Brian's condition.
The doctor looked at the medical report and raised his head to look at Grace. He frowned slightly and paused before saying, "We'll hospitalize him for some time for observation. He should be getting better soon."
Grace heaved a sigh of relief. "Alright, thank you."
When she returned to the ward, she told Brian, "Stay in the hospital for a while. I'll call your assistant over."
Brian frowned and looked at her without a blink. "Where are you going? Why don't you bring me along?"
"I... You haven't recovered from your illness. The doctor said that you couldn't wander around," answered Grace.
Brian pursed his thin lips. "What assistant? I don't know him. I only know you."
He thanked the doctor for not telling Grace he had regained his memories.
At that moment, Jasmine arrived. Seeing that her son was safe and sound, she sighed with relief.
"Eh? Where's Grace?" asked Jasmine.
Brian leaned against the head of the bed and looked out of the window with a gloomy and deep gaze.
Jasmine could tell he had something on his mind and asked, "Son, what happened?"
"The child has been found. The child is still alive." When Brian said that, his throat trembled slightly.
Jasmine widened her eyes in shock and said in surprise, "This is good news!"
Brian nodded and smiled self-deprecatingly. "But it seems she doesn't want the child to reunite with me."
Jasmine choked. "It's okay. Take your time. It's great that the child is still alive. I can finally see my granddaughter. By the way, where is Grace now? I'll go find her."
