When Grace heard Nelson's voice, she couldn't help but think of Brian's words.
She narrowed her eyes and smiled faintly before answering, "I don't mind, but Austin is still in school now. I'll bring her out on the weekend next time."
"Okay, then let's have a meal together at the usual spot now."
Grace hung up and headed to the cafe where Nelson was already waiting there.
He seemed to be cheerful and smiled when he saw Grace.
"Mr. Francis, is something good happening lately? You seem to be in a great mood," she said with a smile as she sat opposite Nelson.
"Seeing you naturally makes me happy. Do you want me to have a sour face while having dinner with you?" Nelson replied.
He smiled gently while handing her the menu.
Grace chuckled without responding and casually read the menu before ordering a few dishes.
Nelson stared at her and crossed his arms on the table, asking, "How have you been?"
"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Francis. Being able to see Austin every day is the happiest thing in my life," Grace replied.
Nelson nodded. "I heard that your ex-husband has regained his memory. Are you planning to get back together with him?"
Grace's gaze sharpened as she looked directly into his eyes. "Mr. Francis, are you so concerned about Brian? You even know that he regained his memory. I recall he didn't go to the hospital recently so how do you know that?"
Her gaze was piercing as if she was trying to read his thoughts.
Nelson was stunned for a moment before he smiled again. "I'm just concerned about you."
Not believing in his words, Grace chuckled. "Is that so?"
After observing her, Nelson narrowed his eyes slightly, sensing that Grace had changed.
Nelson guessed that Brian was suspicious of him and had said something to her.
Then, he smiled gently and said, "Grace, you've changed. Brian told you to keep your distance from me, didn't he?"
She was starting to suspect Nelson's intentions.
It was because he seemed too well-informed about her and Brian's situation.
At this moment, the waiter brought a tray over to serve the dishes. Nelson elegantly picked up a fork and said, "Let's eat."
Grace nodded, and they proceeded to have their meal.
After dinner, the two of them chatted for a while before Grace left and returned to work.
Nelson sat by the window, watching her leave with his smile gradually fading.
At the same time, two men exited the private room, one of them, Lucan Qasim, saw Nelson and greeted him excitedly.
"Mr. Francis, what a coincidence! You're eating here too."
When Lucan's friend saw him about to have some conversations with Nelson, he bid farewell and left.
