Shannon waited for a moment, seeing Grace remain silent and didn't mention anything about helping her. With a silent sigh, Shannon said, "Miss Sherman, then I'll go first and not bother you."
As Shannon took a couple of steps away, Grace suddenly stopped her. "Wait."
"I'll accompany you to see him," Grace said.
Grace went upstairs, called Austin along, and they went to the hospital where Marshall was staying.
When they arrived, Marshall was asleep. Shannon wanted to wake him up but was stopped by Grace.
Grace looked at him quietly lying on the bed.
The wrinkles on his forehead were deeper, the bags under his eyes darker, even in sleep, his brow was furrowed.
Curiously, Austin asked, "Mom, who is he?"
Grace pressed her lips together, didn't speak for a while, then she took Austin's hand and slowly walked out of the ward.
Seeing Grace coming out, Shannon looked at her with a hopeful glint in her eyes but didn't dare to ask.
In the end, Grace didn't mention anything about helping her and left the hospital holding Austin's hand.
Watching Grace and her daughter leave, Shannon sighed deeply, tears streaming down her face.
The next day, Grace sent someone to the Adkins Group and looked for Marshall's secretary, providing a sum of money to resolve the urgent situation.
Upon learning this, Shannon personally went to Trekords Group to thank Grace and brought a bunch of fruits.
"Miss Sherman, you were willing to help at a critical moment. Marshall and I will be grateful to you for life! It was you who saved the Adkins Group. When Marshall wakes up, I will tell him," Shannon said.
"No need!" Grace interrupted quickly. "You don't need to tell him these things. I don't want him to know."
In the afternoon, Grace received a call from Nelson and discussed a project with him.
Grace knew that he and Brian had been secretly fighting some time ago, so she had been keeping a distance from Nelson during this period of time.
When he mentioned cooperation, Grace didn't immediately agree.
Nelson sensed her hesitation and reminded her with a smile, "Grace, have you forgotten our initial agreement? I help you deal with Louise, and you help me return to the Francis family openly."
"I didn't forget," Grace said.
"Brian doesn't like seeing me getting too close to you now and constantly attacks my company. I'm not his match. If we do this new project together, he'll have to consider you, and he won't go against me," Nelson said.
Grace was never one to forget kindness, and Nelson knew that very well.
