Brian's eyes were cold, staring tightly at her. "Your plan? Then tell me, what is your plan?"

Grace indifferently turned her head to the side. "I don't need to tell you."

Brian grabbed her hand as she was about to leave. "What are you planning? Nelson is about to become a true member of the Francis family. Are you planning to be with him?"

Grace frowned as she turned to look at him, her gaze tinged with faint disappointment, which was then replaced by indifference. "I have nothing to do with you. I don't need you to interfere with who I want to be with!"

Brian panicked, realizing he had said the wrong thing.

He hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry, Grace, I misspoke."

"Let me go," she said.

"No! I won't let go of your hand in this lifetime!" Brian said.

Grace struggled for a moment but couldn't break free. With a cold look in her eyes, she lifted her hand and took off the ring from her finger.

Brian's hand loosened involuntarily.

She placed the ring in his hand, not looking at his face, then turned and went into her room.

Brian stared blankly at the ring in his hand, feeling as if his heart had been pierced by a sharp sword.

The next morning, Grace sat next to Austin eating breakfast, with Brian sitting beside her. His gaze fell onto his plate, but his vision involuntarily drifted to Grace.

As if nothing had happened, she ate her food calmly, mentioning that she would take Austin to school later.

Brian stopped halfway through his meal, put down his spoon, and stood up abruptly, causing the chair to scrape against the floor with a harsh noise.

"I'm full, Grandpa, didn't you say you wanted to arrange blind dates for me? Make the arrangments," Brian said.
