Falling For My Contractual Wife (Brian and Grace) novel Chapter 754

Grace lowered her eyes and thought of the back view she saw this morning.

Her intuition told her that Brian was there.

'But why didn't he appear?' she wondered.

Grace lowered her head and looked at the photo carefully. She realized a woman was standing behind him.

Her gaze dipped slightly, and her fingers unconsciously tightened. The edges of the newspaper wrinkled.

Justin thought that she was still worried about Brian. A touch of bitterness appeared in his heart. "If you want to see him, I can call him over now."

Grace loosened her grip and put the newspaper back on the shelf. Then, she said indifferently, "There's no need. I don't want to see him."

With that, she walked straight into the ward.

Brian waited outside the research center for an hour before a nurse came out.

He hurriedly went forward and stopped the nurse. "May I ask how the little girl with leukemia is doing?"

The nurse sized him up with a strange look for a moment. Her gaze fell on his injured leg. "Are you talking about the little girl from Asmanidia?" she asked suspiciously.

"Yes."

The nurse frowned. "I'm sorry, but we're not allowed to divulge patient information."

Brian took some money from his wallet and handed them to her. "I'm the child's family. Please tell me about her condition."

The nurse only paused for a moment before taking the money. "You don't seem like a bad guy, so I'll tell you about the little girl.

"She's going to undergo surgery in a few days. She's been doing preoperative checkups for the past few days. The child is intolerant of some drugs and has been doing skin tests for the past two days. By the way, the child is autistic and doesn't talk much."

Hearing her words, Brian asked, "How confident are you in the surgery? Can it be cured?"
