Time went by quickly.

In the blink of an eye, it was the day of Austin's surgery.

Grace looked at Austin lying on the operating bed. She held Austin's hand tightly and kissed it again and again. "Baby, Mommy will wait for you here. In a few days, we can go home."

Austin's dark eyes were suddenly filled with tears. It was unknown if it was because she was afraid or something else.

Brian was on the other side of the bed. He kissed Austin's cheek gently and encouraged her to be strong.

After Brian's guidance these days, his words seemed to be more useful to Austin.

Austin blinked and tried her best to hold back her tears.

The door of the operating theater slowly closed. Brian made a cheering gesture to Austin.

Grace stood outside the operating theater worriedly. She couldn't sit still.

Brian stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her body. His deep voice seemed to be able to calm people down. "The surgery will succeed."

Grace's heart couldn't calm down. She felt a little helpless and hugged Brian tightly. She didn't say a word, but her hands kept exerting strength.

The surgery was very long. Four hours went by. Grace felt as if she had waited for a century.

The door finally opened and a nurse pushed Austin out.

Grace charged forward. "Austin."

Serena took off her mask and smiled at her. "The surgery was a success."

Grace's heart finally settled back into its original place. It was as if all her strength had been sucked out of her. Her body went limp and she fell into Brian's arms.
