Falling For My Contractual Wife (Brian and Grace) novel Chapter 762

It was as if she had forced herself into a dead end and couldn't walk out no matter what.

Brian's gentle and patient voice was still heard outside. "Baby, don't you want to eat? Daddy doesn't want to eat either. Daddy will eat candy with you, okay?"

After a while, Brian heard the sound of the door lock being turned.

He relaxed and said to the room, "Austin, then I'll come in."

He gently pushed open the door and looked at his daughter's tear-stained face. He bent down and picked her up.

He had read in a book that if children were autistic, they must not show any negative emotions like worry or sadness in front of them. This would only increase their psychological burden.

Even though his heart ached terribly, he still smiled, wiped the tears off her face, and handed her a piece of chocolate.

Brian placed her on the bed and said softly, "Daddy is a little tired and hungry. Baby, do you think I should eat or sleep first?"

His words successfully attracted Austin's attention.

She tilted her head and seemed to think seriously before saying, "Then, eat first."

"Then I'll bring the food in, okay?"

Austin nodded.

Grace watched as Brian carried the food in. Only then did she feel relieved.

While eating, Brian coaxed Austin to eat a little more before patiently coaxing her to sleep.

Grace sat on the sofa outside in a daze.

Jaclyn sat beside her and said, "I think Joy likes her father very much. Why don't we let Mr. Brian stay here for a while? He can accompany Joy every day. This way, her illness might recover faster."

Shawn and Jaclyn knew that Brian's Grandpa had been obstructing them. They loved Austin very much and didn't want to see Grace take care of Austin alone.
