Fated For Lycan's Luna (Chloe and Blake) novel Chapter 157

Chloe's POV

Boom!

Powers clashing from me and Blake caused the hall to shake and for everyone to be thrown off their initial positions.

“As expected, our mate is indeed strong…” Aurora praised as we both tried to parry Blake’s ruthless attacks.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Blake’s power rose from his arms as he struck the air toward me. His strength was like a gigantic hammer pressing everything around him.

Everytime his attacks hit against my defense I felt like my entire body was shaking while trying to resist the destructive power in his moves.

“Urk…” I clenched my teeth and retreated, creating a distance between us.

There and then, I saw the overall situation of the battlefield.

Many of the warriors have already fallen and it was only a few more warriors assisting Vanessa, Allan and Caleb against Arthur and their unknown companion.

“This…” I stared wide-eyed in disbelief. I never thought that it would only take a few minutes for our pack to fall against three people from Blake’s side!

A wave of defeat and unwillingness came to me as I realized how strong Blake was. I could still remember how nearly my entire pack had fallen just due to his coercion.

“What more if we have already faced Alpha Kain, which is stronger than Blake?” I could not help but question myself.

“Chloe! Watch out!” While I thought of these things Aurora’s hurried voice rang in my mind as I felt a strong force from a distance.

“This is not the time for you to foolishly standstill!” Simultaneously, Blake’s voice roared like a rolling thunder as I saw him approach, ridden with his aura emanating from his body like a flame.

His figure rushed toward me. I was not even able to register the harsh wind that was already brushing my body violently.

“We’re going to get killed!” That is all I could utter as I tried to draw Aurora’s power to try to withstand in defense.

But because everything was so fast, I no longer have time to use Aurora’s power nor even move my hands to take some poison to defend myself. Even an attempt to dodge was already too late!

Everything went dark for I subconsciously closed my eyes in anticipation of the attack. The next moment, I felt like my body was moving uncontrollably out of the hall to a far distance.

“Chloe!” I heard screams of alarm from far ahead which were only getting fainter and fainter as I drift far away.

I did not know how far I have gone, but all I know is that there is another way, something warm covering me securely, making me feel like nothing bad will happen as I continue to drift away.

Only when the harsh winds were gone did I realize that I was actually in Blake’s arms and in a flash we were already in a clearing that was already further away from our territory.

Immediately, my body jolted, I felt an electrifying sensation as I instinctively pushed Blake away, “Don’t touch me!”

I gritted my teeth as I looked at him, flashes of all the things that happened back then flooded my mind domineeringly. The horror of knowing that he was losing himself as he gave me his all. The dread of losing the child I so carefully protected.

The image of him kneeling in the ground, full of guilt and remorse. The sight of him in despair as he realizes that he has lost not only our child but also me.

All of those attacked my mind and caused a violent rage brewing inside me. It demands to be released as it makes me feel utterly unable to breathe.

“Raaaaah!!” Mustering my strength from Aurora’s power, I charged at him who did not even flinch nor move an inch.

Blake spread his arms wide open and closed his eyes calmly, ready to take no matter how dangerous my attack would be.

Inch by inch, my fist approached his body. But even at the last few inches, he still did not move, not even his reflexes.

As I gritted my teeth, I saw an image of his smile while calling my name dearly that night.

Just one image made my body shiver in sadness as I stopped just before Aurora’s power touched his body.

Realizing that I lost this unspoken gamble, I collapsed on the ground, tears rolling in my eyes as I wailed, screaming all my grievances in front of someone whom I wish and not wish to see at the same time.

“See, Chloe… after all this time… despite all that happened… Chloe, you cannot bear to hurt me at all.” Blake knelt on the ground approaching me carefully.

His eyes were full of emotions as he softly uttered, “All this time, you cannot let go of me Chloe, just as I could not let go of you either.”
