Chapter 124 To Warm Her up
Opening the curtains, Shawn Lawson breathed with relief until he saw Norah Chase in person.
Just now, he broke into a cold sweat, and he thought that she really disappeared, which frightened him to death.
"Why are you sitting here?" He approached and asked softly.
Norah still sat on the window, silent and speechless.
She leaned against the wall on one side, staring at the round moon in the sky with her dark eyes, and she had little energy.
Moreover, she didn't want to talk to him at all.
Only then did Shawn realize that her clothes were so thin that the corners of her clothes flipped away as soon as the wind rolled up. So she couldn't resist any chillness and coldness at all.
When Shawn reached out to touch Norah, he was even more shocked. Her body was just like ice cubes, so cold that he could hardly perceive any temperature.
Without hesitation, Shawn bent over and picked her up, then placed her on the bed and covered her with a blanket.
Under the light, Shawn realized that her whole body was freezing terribly. Her small and fair white face was now pale without any blood, but the middle of her cheeks was red with cold.
Her hands were as thin as bones. And her hands were so cold as if they had just been pulled out of the refrigerator.
"Why not wear clothes? "Shawn was a bit angry.
How could she not cherish her body?
If she got frozen, he would feel heart-broken. Did she know?
"...."
Norah glanced at him and shrank her petite body into the blanket, but ignored him.
"You didn't have meals arranged for the whole day. Right? "He asked with great restraint.
Norah's eyes blinked with calmness and serenity, gently responding, "Hmm!"
"Why not have meals?"
"No appetite," she said.
Shawn understood that it was the excuse she made, but he couldn't do anything.
He reached out again and touched Norah's hands, only to find that her hand was still cold. It was the same temperature as before, and her body didn't warm up at all.
"Why are you still so cold?"
After he finished speaking, he placed Norah's small hands in his big palm and gently rubbed her hands together bit by bit.
At the same time, he instructed the servant, "Ask the cook to prepare some light and delicious food and some sweet soup."
He has observed that she preferred to drink some sweet soup when she was in a bad mood.
"You don't need to prepare anything," Norah finally moved her eyelids and said.
Seeing Shawn's eyes fall on her, she calmly explained, "I don't want to eat."
"Do it right now."
Shawn didn't follow her words and still commanded.
Rubbing her hands for a while, he felt her hands finally warmed up a little, so he was relieved a bit.
"How are you feeling? Are you feeling better?" He asked.
"Not bad," said Norah.
Shawn reached into the blanket and doubtfully touched her body.
After touching, he immediately turned on the air conditioning in the room, took off his coat, lay directly under the blanket, and held her whole body in his arms.
At present, he believed that it was the most efficient way to warm her up.
"What are you doing?"
Norah subconsciously retreated as Shawn entered the blanket, and her face turned pale with fear as she was extremely frightened.
"I warm you a little."
Shawn looked at her with an affectionate gaze. And his tone was gentle to the extreme.
If Norah didn't have firsthand experience, she would almost be overwhelmed again.
But this time, she wouldn't do it again.
"No, I can keep myself warm." Norah didn't even think about it and refused directly.
