Chapter 147 Shawn Went Crazy Looking for Her
As soon as Shawn arrived, he frantically rang the doorbell.
He did it again and again, and several minutes passed, but there was no response. No one came to open the door.
He knocked on the door with his hand, but still, no one answered.
He took out his phone and called Norah.
However, no one answered Norah's phone.
Norah was sitting in a taxi. After Anthony left, she packed some clothes, filled her small suitcase, and headed to the airport.
She had arranged to stay with Vivian for a few days.
Vivian was filming in the south by the sea, and Norah loved the sea, so she readily agreed when Vivian invited her.
Before boarding the plane, Norah saw the missed phone calls from Shawn. She glanced at her phone blandly before turning it off and putting it in her bag.
The plane soared into the sky, and Norah's mood finally improved as she watched the pure and flawless white clouds outside the window which were like soft cotton.
Meanwhile, Shawn was going crazy looking for her.
He called Norah many times, but there was no answer.
Feeling defeated, he put down his phone. It was then that he realized that he knew nothing about her.
Besides Kelvin, she had no family in this city. She wouldn't go to Kelvin, but he had no idea where else she could have gone.
He knew nothing about her circle, her friends, and her classmates except for Vivian.
He remembered Vivian because Vivian was a rising star in the entertainment industry and Norah often mentioned her.
As for Norah's classmates and places she often visited, he knew nothing about them and had no clue where to start looking for her.
Ten minutes later, Anthony called him. "Mr. Lawson, I found Miss Norah. She just took a flight to the South Sea."
"South Sea?"
She actually went to the South Sea without telling him anything.
"Did she buy a return ticket?"
At that time, Shawn was uneasy, for fear that she would never come back.
"Yes, a return ticket in three days."
"What time does it arrive?"
"Around 11 am."
"Okay, I got it." After speaking, Shawn hung up the phone.
When Norah got off the plane, she saw a girl in a yellow shirt holding up a sign and shouting, "Norah, over here!"
The one who came to pick her up was Peach, Vivian's new assistant, a cute and lovely girl.
Peach was only eighteen years old. She dropped out of school early because of her family's poor financial situation and had to work several jobs before becoming Vivian's assistant.
Norah and Peach went straight to the hotel room.
As soon as Norah entered the room, she smelled the aroma of a delicious hot pot. As she walked further in, she saw a boiling hot pot emitting white steam.
All kinds of dishes were prepared around it, including condiments and drinks.
Norah was stunned to see such thoughtful preparations.
"Where's Vivian?" Norah asked.
"Vivian, thank you so much."
"It's not a big deal. Besides, we still have dipping sauce, right? I made the spicy dipping sauce. What's more, they've been telling me not to eat spicy food lately, saying it affects my skin." Vivian was indeed distressed when she talked about this.
She loved spicy food, but unfortunately, her body couldn't handle it, and she would break out in acne once she ate it.
Given her image, not only would they take various measures to treat her acne, but even if her skin wasn't smooth, they would go to great lengths to fix it.
Norah listened to her complaint with a smile and comforted her patiently. "This just means that you are popular and lots of people pay attention to you. If you're not famous, nobody will care, right?"
Listening to her, Vivian nodded. "Yeah, I guess that's true!"
"Oh, by the way, when are you moving in with me?" Vivian asked.
"I have moved to your place," Norah replied.
"What?" Hearing this, Vivian suddenly raised her head and looked at Norah in shock. "So you and Shawn..."
"Yes." Norah nodded and said seriously, "We've divorced."
The food picked by Vivian dropped into the bowl, and she still couldn't believe it. "Really?"
"We got the divorce papers yesterday and I went to your place this morning."
Vivian fell silent when she heard this. She was close to Norah, so she knew how much Norah loved Shawn.
Norah had secretly loved Shawn for ten years. Vivian couldn't imagine how long-lasting, heart-wrenching, and courageous that kind of persistence must have been.
But Vivian remembered the day Norah came to her, hugging her happily with a bright smile on her face. "Vivian, I'm so happy! You know what? I'm getting married to him! I'm going to be his wife!"
"Oh my god, it's like a dream. I can't believe I'm going to marry him and be his wife. Vivian, hurry up and pinch me. Am I dreaming?"
At that time, Vivian rubbed Norah's cheeks hard, congratulating her with a smile. "Dear Norah, I'm telling you seriously and responsibly that you're not dreaming. Everything is real."
