Chapter 233 Do You Know What You Are Doing?
"Have a good rest at home. Wait for me to come back."
"Okay."
After saying it, Norah watched Shawn leave.
The snow began to fall more heavily.
As it was snowing heavily, Norah watched him walk further and further away.
Suddenly, she thought of something. Then she shouted at his back, "Shawn..."
He didn't seem to hear her and continued to walk on.
At that moment, a huge surge of power rushed over Norah's body. Without hesitation, she frantically ran toward Shawn.
Then, Norah grabbed Shawn from behind. Her head pressed gently against Shawn's back.
The snow fell heavily.
Snowflakes fell gently on both of them.
"I can't let you go." Norah said in her soft voice as she acted coquettishly.
It had been the scene he had longed for most.
However, when Norah did hug his back and pamper him, Shawn couldn't give her a satisfactory answer.
The two of them stood silently embracing each other in the snow.
Everything around them was silent.
After a long time, seeing that Shawn did not reply to her, Norah could only let go of her hand in disappointment and said softly, "Since you are going to get busy, you should go now. Don't worry. I'll take care of myself."
"Wait for me." He lowered his head and planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Alright." Norah nodded and said, "But you can't keep me waiting too long."
After saying that, she stood on tiptoe. She stopped feeling shy and gently touched her lips to his.
Because of the cold weather, both of their lips were cold.
Even so, Norah felt her heart was burning on fire.
Shawn said, "Come on! I'll watch you go up."
"Okay."
Norah turned around, stepping over the snowy tracks, one step at a time.
When Norah went out, she felt extra warm because Shawn had just taken her hand.
When Norah returned, there was suddenly no one else around her. She felt as if the air had become cold too.
Shawn had been watching her from behind her.
Shawn didn't turn around until Norah had entered the neighborhood and was completely out of sight. Then he walked away and got into his car.
Once Norah was upstairs, she immediately went to the balcony.
She could see his car clearly through the glass of the balcony.
He was driving fast.
His car disappeared completely within a minute. Then Norah couldn't see anything.
Norah propped her chin up in her hand and peered into the distance.
She wondered if she was overthinking it. Lately, he seemed to be extremely busy. It was like he was busy with something very mysterious.
Thinking about all the phone calls Shawn had been taking, Norah couldn't help but wonder what the other side of the line had told Shawn that would make him leave her and go out of his way to get there.
Then, Norah shook her head and told her not to think about it.
Once Shawn was in the car, he looked very intimidating.
When the call came through, Shawn said in an icy tone, "Did you find her?"
"Mr. Lawson, we're still doing our best to find her."
"How long has it been?"
The assistant said cautiously, "It's been... It's been two hours."
