Chapter 245 Norah, Could You Please Not Leave Me?
Feeling the warmth in her hands, Norah turned her head as soon as she saw Shawn open his eyes.
He was awake.
Although Shawn was a little pale, his eyes were deep and beautiful.
"Norah..." His voice was weak. "Could you please not leave me?"
Shawn had a pleading look in his eyes.
The look in his eyes was real.
Norah turned her face away. She should have left sooner.
If Norah hadn't seen his eyes and heard his plea, she could have left.
Now, however, her legs were like lead, and she couldn't move her legs in any way.
Especially when Norah saw his eyes, she became upset.
After all, Shawn was the man Norah had loved for ten years.
Shawn was her crush, her lover, and her youth.
As for love, she and Shawn experienced many first times in their lives. And there was no exception.
Taking a deep breath, Norah turned around, looked at him calmly, and said, "We've broken up. Haven't you forgotten?"
Shawn shook his head and said, "I haven't forgotten, but I said I didn't agree."
"But this time, it's not a question of whether you agree or not. It's about me informing you that we're done."
"Now that you're awake, and your fever has gone down, you're in the clear. I have to work tomorrow. I'll leave first. They'll take good care of you."
Norah turned around and quickly headed out the door.
She was afraid she wouldn't be able to leave later.
"Norah..." Shawn looked at her. His voice sounded sad.
Norah didn't stop and continued to walk out the door.
Just then, there was a sudden thud.
It was the sound of Shawn falling out of his bed onto the floor.
Seeing Norah leave, Shawn couldn't think of anything else. As soon as he removed the syringe, he got out of bed and tried to catch up with her.
After all, Shawn had been feverish and hadn't eaten all day. Caught unawares, Shawn fell to the floor.
Shawn had always been arrogant and elegant. When had he ever been so miserable?
Hearing the thud, Norah immediately stopped in her tracks.
"Norah, don't go."
"Are you really going to leave me alone? Do you really have no feelings for me at all?"
Shawn's voice rang out behind her.
Norah tilted her head. She was already in tears.
How could she possibly not have feelings for Shawn anymore?
It would be so nice if Norah could put away her feelings whenever she wanted. Unfortunately, she couldn't do that.
"Mr. Lawson, let me help you up." At that moment, Anthony stepped forward.
Shawn pushed him away and said in a cold and stern voice, "Go away! I don't need you."
"Mr. Lawson, you've had your tubes removed. Your hand is covered in blood. If you go on like this, you'll be in danger."
Norah admitted that Anthony's words still moved her.
How had he tortured himself into that?
Then Norah blinked and turned around.
Norah thought Shawn might look a little bad now. However, when Norah saw Shawn like that with her own eyes, she was shocked and a little uncomfortable.
"What's wrong with you?"
With red eyes, she walked over and crouched down next to Shawn.
Shawn didn't even care about the wounds on his body. Then he grabbed Norah's hand and held it tightly. "Are you still going?"
Norah had an unpleasant constricted sensation in her chest. She couldn't say anything for a long time.
Seeing Norah remain silent, Shawn became anxious and said, "If you still want to go, my illness will have nothing to do with you."
