Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 25

Chapter 25

He thought Estelle would take the opportunity to lecture him, telling him that good students shouldn’t fight.

Estelle nodded sincerely, “Of course, you helped a bullied classmate, isn’t that being brave and just?”

Henson’s innocent eyes sparkled for a moment, but then he became disheartened, “But I busted their heads, and their parents all came. The teacher told me to call my parents to school this afternoon.”

“Your teacher doesn’t know you’re part of the Lamont family?” Estelle asked.

Henson nodded, “There are some people with the surname Lamont in the school, and my file only has my parents’ names. My parents are very low-key.”

Estelle realized, “So you want me to pretend to be your parent?”

“Smart!” Henson laughed, showing his newly grown teeth.

Estelle also laughed, “No way!”

Henson’s smile froze, “Why not?”

“First, I’m not your parent, and if your uncle finds out, I’ll definitely lose my job!” Estelle said seriously, “Second, I’m technically your teacher too, so I can’t help you deceive the other teachers.”

“No one will know if you don’t say anything!”

“It’s still not happening.” Estelle was firm and asked curiously, “Why don’t you go to your uncle?”

Henson lowered his eyes, “My uncle promised me that if I didn’t make any mistakes for a week, he would teach me horse riding on the weekend.”

“But this time, there was a reason for your actions!” Estelle said.

Henson shook his head, “My uncle is very principled; if it’s wrong, it’s wrong, no matter the reason!”

Estelle shrugged, “Well, that’s a problem then!”

Henson’s eyes suddenly lit up, and he said to Estelle, “How much does my uncle pay you for being our tutor?”

“Eight thousand, why?”
