Chapter 381
Yvonne wee speechless.
Magdalen had curious expression on her face, but it didn’t seem like she was mocking or taunting Yvonne. Since they were in front of many people, Yvonne couldn’t lose her composure and get mad. But the topic of age was sensitive for women, so she simply forced a smile and said,
“Of course, Iil think about getting married if I find the right person.”
“Sounds like you already have someone in mind?” Magdalen pressed on.
Yvonne felt like she was at a press conference.
She stole a glance at Jonathan’s expression and smiled, “Sorry, that’s private. I can’t really discuss that.”
Magdalen laughed knowingly, “I understand, I understand!”
As Jonathan reached for a cigarette, he unintentionally glanced at Estelle, who had her eyes half-closed and her long eyelashes covering her dark eyes. He wondered what she was thinking. Soon, everyone dispersed, some chatting and others engaging in card games.
Charlie sat next to Jonathan, looked at Yvonne, who was selecting a song, then at Estelle sitting on the couch. He asked, “Have you figured it out? Which one do you want?”
Jonathan calmly smoked, not even bothering to look at him.
Charlie frowned slightly and chuckled, “If I were you, I’d also have a hard time deciding. They’re both so attractive in their own ways. It’s hard to give up either one. Why not keep them both?”
Jonathan’s face darkened, “Do you think this is a game?”
Charlie laughed playfully, “You and Estelle broke up, and now Yvonne has returned at just the right time. Maybe it’s fate. From what I see, Yvonne has less of a career focus now. The things she said earlier, she probably said it to you. If you marry her, I’m sure your family wouldn’t object.”
Jonathan’s face remained expressionless, as if he hadn’t heard Charlie’s words at all. He stubbed out his cigarette, stood up, and left.
Magdalen invited Estelle to play poker. Josiah, annoyed by Magdalen’s questioning of Yvonne earlier, took a seat opposite her with a wicked grin, “Ms. Sampson, right? I’ll play a few hands with you.”
Magdalen knew that Josiah was up to no good. She raised her eyebrows and said, “All right, you pick the game! You sure you want to play against the two of us?”
“Bring it!” Josiah took out a new deck of cards.
At this point, Yvonne walked over and said, “Oh, playing cards? Count me in!”
“How do four people play?” Magdalen inquired.
Josiah suggested, “We can play ‘Upgrade. Two players per team, two teams face off to see who can upgrade the highest.”
Estelle shook her head, “I don’t know how to play that.”
