Estelle glanced at her and said casually, “She probably thought you were going to walk the runway at the party today!” 

Carmella couldn’t fight back, gritting her teeth and glaring at Estelle. 

Estelle didn’t bother with her anymore and walked away. 

The banquet hall occupied an entire floor, with luxurious decorations and floor-to-ceiling windows with broad views. It had huge crystal chandeliers, thick and valuable carpets, and various noble arrangements. As soon as they entered, it felt like stepping into another dazzling world. 

People had already arrived at the banquet hall ahead of time, men dressed in high-quality fitted suits, and women all dressed up with glitzy jewelry, moving gracefully among the men. 

Hannah, the studio leader, hadn’t arrived yet, so Inman and Alice waited in a corner. 

After a while, they saw Miya and Jessica arrive. 

Miya was, of course, dressed brilliantly, while Jessica looked even more stunning in her red strapless floor-length dress, showing off her fair shoulders and entire back, looking sexy and alluring! 

Alice sneered as they approached, “She’s just an assistant, and she thinks she’s the star of the show today? There’s a time and place for everything, and this is not our territory. I don’t know who she wants to show off to!” 

Carmella had been complimented by Alice for her beautiful outfit when she arrived, so she was slightly taken aback by her mocking of 

Jessica. She wasn’t sure if it was an illusion, but it felt like Alice’s words were directed at her too! 

Inman chimed in with a laugh, “Yeah, at this kind of event, it’s better for us to keep a low profile!” 

Miya and Jessica had arrived at their side. As a designer, Miya was overshadowed by her own assistant, so she wasn’t too happy. Seeing Estelle, she couldn’t help but say with a hidden meaning, “Estelle is such a natural beauty. She doesn’t need to dress up, just standing there outshines us all. So even the most gorgeous dress can’t compare to natural beauty!” 

Estelle knew Miya wasn’t actually complimenting her, so she didn’t respond. 

Inman also understood why Miya suddenly praised, Estelle, and she said with a smile, “That doesn’t sound like something a fashion designer would say!” 

Miya scoffed, “Nowadays, we’re all about embracing nature, so we need to explore beauty from nature too!” Jessica pretended not to hear Miya’s words, her eyes constantly scanning the room. 

Half an hour later, more and more people arrived at the banquet hall, including distribution organizers, investors, the film’s director, and other action or art directors… Even one of the stars, Hattie, entered the hall with her agent and chatted with a few investors. These people were the real stars of the day, but of course, even more important characters hadn’t arrived yet. 

When Magdalen and Morrison arrived, Mr. Mayfield and others immediately greeted them warmly. “Mr. Langston, Ms. Sampson!” Morrison wore gold-rimmed glasses, looking cultured and indifferent. While talking to others, he had his hand on Magdalen’s waist the entire time. 

Magdalen looked around the hall and, upon spotting Estelle in the corner, hooked her lips into a smile and threw her a flirtatious glance! Miya happened to see it and asked in confusion, “Is that the Sampson family’s daughter? Is she greeting us?”
